Hi - I tried to d/l this but it does not load up in DL as usual; I have not d/led any FMs for some time [10 months] so is it possible that my version is no longer valid for new FMs or was it just a bad download do you think?

You should install Darkloader 4.1, if you're using an older Darkloader version. There's a download link for it in the FAQ at the top of the forum. Some of the newer FMs include mp3 files, which theolder versions can't handle. I don't think that's the case with Two Fathers, though. Maybe you should try downloading it again?

Did you ever get it working or not? Just wondering....

Yes, finally, I did - worth the wait:thumb:

Uncadonego, it occurred to me the other day (don't ask me why these things pop up in my head at red lights)...why would the
Trickster be out to kill Garrett as a little kid, especially if later he would need him to get the Eye?
(If I'm reading it right, which...you know...I AM!) Seems like that may be a mistake. Then again, for Karras' Diary, you posted screens of Karras' "body" and that turned out to have one hell of a fantastic explanation....so I'm not jumping to any conclusions here, just curious......

Weird...no reply. Unca usually answers right away. I checked the members page, and he posted regularly up until the middle of the month, then suddenly stops. Has he left the forums?

No, he's okay. I had an email from him at the beginning of the week and he's had some RL stuff that's kept him really busy for the last few weeks. Hopefully, he'll have time soon to drop back in. :)

It would be very difficult for me to answer that question without discussing much of the thrust of part 2 lonzboy. Part 2 deals about 1/3 in part with the nature of the Trickster and his actions, the consequences of those actions, etc., although part 2 deals also in great part with Garrett himself as well, his actions, the consequences of those actions, etc.
Whereas in Two Fathers Delphos and John are on distinct sides of social and economic boundaries, they both have sons they love, and are doing whatever they can for them, in whatever ways they can. Hopefully some of Garrett's bias against the wealthy has been eroded, seeing that not all rich people are bad (and by now throughout all the OM's, he should definitely realize that not all poor people are good).
As an orphan, Garrett became hardened. Garrett has now been in an exclusively wealthy neighbourhood and seen a doctor working hard and late hours at a clinic helping less fortunate children as much as he can. Even on the other side of the center house, Benjamin, though more self-absorbed, still comments that he misses little Benjamin at camp and can't wait for him to come home. He has also read where Delphos finally realized that although he was also an orphan and destitute, he and his friends survived and even had some happy times, because many people did whatever they could to help out those boys. Garrett needs to realize the same concerning himself.
Now in part 2, many comparisons will be made in the same fashion, only the comparisons will mostly be between Garrett and The Trickster. That may seem odd, but hopefully players will see the logic when I get into more detail. Expect a stripped down no bells and whistles mission again like Two Fathers. Just architecture, a plausible motivation for moving through the game, and story.
I can say this much to answer your question lonzboy. Prophecies come from The Builder, and interpretations of those prophecies can vary greatly from reader to reader. The Keepers most often have the sense to just watch and keep their distance. The Trickster may be very cunning and intelligent, and very old and experienced. He may even know how to spew the Scripture of The Master Builder backwards and forwards in every language known to man, for the purpose of deceiving them. However, his interpretation of those prophecies can still be just as wrong as anyone else's, because he is only built (created), not the Builder (Creator). Similarly, Garrett plunders along, seldom considering the consequences of his actions, more often taking care of only himself, doing what is right in his eyes. All of these circumstances have come full circle in part 2.
1) Yes, I realize I have not answered your question.
2) Don't think of my mission at red lights, think of women, like all other men.:sly:

I voted for yours (Don) and schwaa's, too, since I've been meaning to do it for quite awhile now. Sorry about that. Sorry also to see Jeff's mission at a rating of 7!!! For shame. :tsktsk:
