I downlaoded this one and played it last night. I like it :) Some of the elements seemed a bit 'too' modern for me, but that didn't detract from the playing at all. The loads of readables made the story interresting. For the second mission you mentioned, perhaps you could add custom coversations to the readables too to continue the story :D
I had trouble at first with the caverns (same as the guy in the other thread, I had to mess with my gammas to properly see the ledges from the cavern walls). The best part for me though was when I found the one door ;) I opened it, looked in, and said "yeowza... this is gonna be interresting."
Good work. I also especially liked that every AI had it's own name :laff:

Wow! I just played this, and I must say this mission has
an almost obsessive/compulsive attention to detail!
The caves took a little while, but I made it through
(felt like I was in a real cave!) The kitchen looked awesome!
Nice rooms! (only one problem, I thought some of the
torches were a little too close to the wood ceiling)
Cool story!
Garrett makes some money and saves a friend's kid, but ends up ripping off his long lost brother!
I think you are a good story teller. It's the range I've seen that impresses me. In Karras' Diary, you made Karras and the Mechanists sicker and more dangerous than in the OM's, and I was glad to kick all of their asses. They scared me. Garrett was a hero.
Agreed! I killed them all!:ebil:

What?? All the AI had different names? I didn't realise!
Guess that's what you get for not KOing anyone .
5 bonus points to uncadonego for naming everyone!

That's what a couple of my friends told me when I was making the Stephen Russell new phrases for Karras' Diary. One friend actually said once: "What sort of a freak spends four days trying to get someone to say one word?" (The word was "diary").
One time I spent nine and a half hours painting the bamboo design of the inside of a bowl in a painting, and I spent four days painting the lace trim of the cloth on which it was sitting. I think I border on obsessive/compulsive sometimes, but only when I really get into something. Like lonzboy said:

At least I hope so...

Your obsession is our gain!:D :thumb:
My missions dont have a tenth of the detail!:(
But I make up for it in pure chaos!...;) :ebil:

I have swam around and found a deep area with the blood red rock. I swam up and into a small cave area with glowing crystals. I found the spot next to this with the small rock, the larger next to it, and the large still. I got up to where a spider is above with crystal and two rock "pillars" and cannot find where to go next. I saw the hole above the rocks that form kinda like steps before the spider, but cannot mantle up anywhere near there. What to do? am I missing some little detail of where to go?
Taking a break from job hunting and relaxing my mind a bit with frobbing and taffing.
Thanks taffers.

You can mantle up, but it's a bit tricky. Make sure you're not standing in TOO close. Back up a half step, then try getting up. You don't need to get right into where the spider is, but up onto the ledges to the left. I find it easier if I get up on the ledge leading to the spider and then jump from there to the lower ledge on the left. Then stand where the next ledge is at it's lowest and climb up there.

That's probably the one thing I really didn't think fit into the mission (well, that and the moderness of the houses, but that ws just a minor taste thing). It's a great FM, but the spelunking portion feels like it's a completely differant FM... it's too much acrobatics for my taste. I enjoyed the rest of the FM immensely though :)

First off Ucadonego, great mission!!! I agree with with everyone else, your attention to detail is just great. The lightswitches are a breath of fresh air. Too many lights in too many missions don't have any switches! They made like real houses. Havn't fully explored the middle house yet though.
The problem I'm having is the kitchen safe!! Someone said it was in the first house. I've checked each house on the sides of the middle one, no safe in the kitchen. Or IS it in the middle house?
