Hi Davydd!
From your ghost report:
The zombies in the east house - they never alerted for unless I crept up into full light. If you creep really slowly, a bit at a time, then stand and lean forward, you eventually can frob each plate. Just takes patience.
Quote:
Entering the warehouse triggered a script where Benny and a zombie fight before the front door, and the zombie gets the better of it. Since the zombie returned to staring at the (well lit) doorway, I had to find another way in.
For me, Benny won, but stayed in a rage the entire time, hacking and screaming at the quiesent zombie :D I rather enjoyed that one!
Cheers!

I couldn't get into eidosgames.com. It's not responding. I'll try later. :eww:
At the end of the mission I had a problem with getting
the last objective to check off unless I exited the exit and went back in again.
I went back and tried it again, and boy, I sure can't get it to work for me. No matter how stealthily I sneak directly towards them (on the left, the darkest side), at some point, when I'm still too far away to lean and frob the plates, the leftmost zombie growls and leans forward, looking around... which counts as an alert for ghost purposes.
Too, even if I ignore this alert, wait a while until the zombie calms down, then creep forward again, he alerts the same way. Eventually, while I'm still too far to frob, he lurches forward and attacks me.
I looked for some thread of shadow, perhaps, that runs all the way into the zombie enclosure, but I just don't see one.
I'm really having trouble understand this difference in our games... you're playing on Expert?

I understand the Eidos Fora are going to be upgrading, and that during these upgrades, they will often be down. I thought that was to be later, but perhaps they've already started?

Ok I was able to view the web page this time. That was very entertaining. I was :laff: about the zombie pit paragraph.
I'm not sure why the final objective would not check when Garrett walked through the gate with Katie. Before I added the Katie objective (originally was a hermit objective) the final would check off correctly.
Anyway thank you for the write up of your playing my FM.

Oh, yeah... what was all that guff about an opera house? "Turn left at the sewer?" What sewer?
I forgot to mention something interesting. When I returned to the warehouse, the gal was still staring at the mailboxes. I went rooting around the storage bays, looking for loot (I still missed some, blast it); when I went back down the stairs, one of the patrollers -- the slow, colorful one -- was tangled up trying to squeeze in between the girl guard and the mailboxes.
I headed up to the roof for the torc... and when I returned, she had turned to face the back door instead of the mailboxes. Is she supposed to do that?

Don't you remember the hermit singing to himself in Thief 1's "Song of the Caverns." :p
I'm not sure about the female guard. She isn't supposed to move. It's strange that another guard tried to slip past her and the mail boxes. The ai patrol doesn't run through there.
btw the other way to get rid of the fire mages is with the
water arrows.
There is something that I did not implement in this FM that I wanted to do for a long time: I was going to break down the Garrett wav's into individual words and then make new sentances. The only one that I made was "Goodnight Basso."
