this one is a nice little mission, with a few tough spots - like the hallway on the top level. anyone figure out a way to the end without having to kill the guard?

You should have found a gas arrow somewhere in the mission. With this you can knock out the guard at the end. I'm sorry, but it's not possible to ghost this mission (well, not to my knowledge ;)).
