I can't check it now, but I'm fairly sure that the "cold storage key" should be in the cook's room upstairs.
If I remember correctly, there's a hidden button in the room that reveals a secret space under the bed, where the key is lying next to the recipe book.
The castle key is only carried by one (or two?) of the guards who patrol around the manor, I think. Perhaps there was one in Lord Marboby's bedroom as well.
And yes, I thought you might like the dolly. :p

Hi kaveri Tomi, I got the key already :eww:
I finished with just missing 100 of loot. That's not too bad.
Monastiri, is there going to be a sequel, since I heard that I must go and tell lady Agutt the bad news?! :D

Glad you were able to finish it, Gloria. :) Um well, I don't think there will be another sequel to that, but one can never know. I haven't been dromediting after I finished Whatever happened to Sir Agutt?, but maybe I will return editing some day. Actually, I'd like to create a mission together with Tomi, but I won't let it happen before he finishes some of his own missions (that might be never). :p However, right now I'm far too busy. But I'm not going to retire from these forums yet.

That's good news then Monastiri
Give your brother a big push, also from me and TELL him to finish up his stuff :ebil: :sly:

I'm catching up on all the FMs I haven't played yet and have to say I'm enjoying this one very much! I'm stuck on a couple of objectives though:
1) I've found the cook's diary in the cold storage room that tells what he did with Mr. Agutt's body and that the Lord of the castle killed Mr. Agutt, but for the life of me I can't find anything that will make the first objective (-Find out what happened to Mr. Agutt in Marboby Castle) tick off. I would've thought that the cook's testimony would've been enough to determine what happened, if not why (which the cook states that he himself doesn't know why his Lord killed Mr. A.).
2) I've got 2 of the three bonus objectives (cook's magic rolling pin & gave the little girl's doll back to her), but even though I have the gardner's missing ring, no bonus objective has shown up on the objectives menu (even tho I read his diary). I'm wondering if I'm not getting that bonus objective because I picked up the ring first, maybe?
I know I'm late to this FM, but was hoping someone could give me a hint regarding the first issue especially. Thanks!
Monastiri on 21/7/2010 at 16:21
I'm pleased to hear that, Dia. :)
OK, I'll try to help you a bit:
1.) You have to find out WHY Sir Agutt was killed. Search Lord Marboby's study/library closely.
2.) You have to return the gardener's ring to his cabin. That should do the trick.
Happy thiefing Dia! Hope you are able to complete my mission with these hints. :)

Thanks Monastiri! Finished your FM and really enjoyed playing it; I'm always up for a good old fashioned Thief-romp. Hope to see more from you soon! :thumb: :thumb:

Thank you for an enjoyable mission, Monastiri :).
Finished on OMG Pro difficulty, in 37 minutes with all loot found.
A more complete thief mission then your first, We miss you Bob, and a great continuation of the story. Loved the intro movie.
The castle is nicely designed, there are plenty of interesting objectives, and Sly convinces again as our favorite hero. Well done :thumb:
I hope that you or your brother release another FM sometime.

Thanks, Phantom! It's nice to have feedback, knowing someone is still playing my mission after 1,5 years  . I was very young (14 or something) when I started creating
We miss you, Bob, and it was good for practising dromed skills. And I was also quite inpatient to release it before it had been properly betatested. I like Whatever happened to Sir Agutt? better.
I haven't done
anything with Dromed since January 2010, but I've been thinking about it a lot lately. So, it is possible I could still return to editing, if a good storyline comes to my mind. I heard Tomi was designing his mission a while ago but it will surely take some time before he releases anything.

This problem has a solution, but it didn't work for me here. You know where you install a mission and the objectives are either empty or make reference to a different mission you played not too long ago.
The fix as I understand it is to install the original Thief 2 (using Garrettloader), then go into the main Thief folder and delete certain defined folders. Once they're gone, reinstall the mission you wanted to play and it should work fine. I still got the corrupt Objectives displayed.
I didn't notice any complaints in this thread relating to this issue, so no doubt the problem is mine and not the mission itself. However, did anybody else have this problem?
Is there a different fix other than the "Clean Up The Files" instructions found in the Thief Fan Mission FAQ?
I did finish the game regardless of not knowing what to do :)
