I'm just checking, but the scroll that is outside of the kitchen here, did this one display any text when frobbed? I'm asking because this one and the apeman book are setup in the same way, and both should either work or none should work.

that one does not work either. I was at that point last night when I started playing and it did work but it does not now.also I think I am at the end I have the scepter is it supposed to deactivate the force field in the skull

My game got broken somehow because that does not work either I click on the force field with the scepter but nothing happens

I re installed the mission now the readable work

You need to climb the crystal pillars and use the scepter on the upper beam. Make sure you don't stay there too long then.

Thanks for the help I finally finished The readable s not working made it difficult Clicking on the guy in the room where I found the scepter Did nothing. After I re installed everything started working

I have been playing on Normal.

I have unlocked something using the hammer and mold in a hidden wall near the East wing bedrooms, but I have been all over the mansion and I can not find anything new that has opened.

Just about everything is opened except for the locked box in an upstairs room with a frog beast pet in the East wing which I do not have a key to. I also have no clue how to get the force field to the tower open and release the 'Dead Man' in the lower tunnels.

This has been a very frustrating mission for me even at the easiest level.

For the box there's a note that says there's a key hidden somewhere outside Versaw's room which is in the West wing. Once you've got the key you'll find your other questions answered.
