I´m playing on "Normal" it seems i have reached far in this mission , i have a magical ring and i don´t know where to use it, i have opened a jewel lockbox with a tiny portal and i don´t know what to do with this except feel my hand cold when touching it, also i have a magical dagger but what do with it, also i got a magical filled bottle with blood from the bucked and now what? I got inside a giant skull within there are 3 cofins with one corpse laying in the top of one of them, but they are surround by a magial sphere wich i can´t penetrate, what must i do here? and i still can´t recognize the storageroom. Help please.

It seems you have to find a key to open
the door to the inner tunnels. Look inside the library for something to frob (it's in one of the corners), which is a hint to the type of key you're looking for. Further hint:
the key is somewhere in Mortus' chambers.
Some more stuff might become apparant after getting inside
the inner tunnel area.The storage rooms are to
the right of the room marked "Study Chamber" on the main floor.
After getting the ring
from the portal, you're done with the portal.

yes, the ring is in my possession but does not work on the barrier that traps the magician

Just stand underneath the hole and 'use' the ring above your head.

Also, make sure it's 'powered up', otherwise it won't work.
