Apparently its some kind of bug, i went back to the room with the jewel case that has a little portal, then when circling the items the ring came up again, i hold it in the lower right screen until i reach the room with the magic ceiling, this time i was able to use the ring and climb up, the rest was easy going for me so i have finished this great mission. I bet this mission would have won the contest, despite being a familiar map it has new interesting places to explore, new good adaptations, excellent choice of ambient sound and musics, some of the news ai skins are very well done, the story is immerse and the gameplay is very good :thumb:

I've done the chess thing, where are the inner tunnels? I was not able to open the box with the ring....

i'am bit confused i got a clue from stobbs about draft in east side store room i presume that is the room close to where i use magnetized hook ?? I have looked every where, i even hit the boards lying against the wall with my sword and they moved left with the sound of opening but still nothing there ?? other than that i need a knife to cut the blood out of the insect

as soon as i entered the mortus area i wanted t make save game my game crashed to desktop and save game is corrupted

loaded the game went up the stairs save game same result but when i got back down the stairs i can save game again with no problem

help needed again playing on expert looking for the scepter
cant find a way to free the mage how do i get up the magic celling in the room nex to the traped mage

You need the ring to get up there. If on Expert, you also need to power it up before it works. The ring can be found in Mortus' quarters.

The scepter and freeing the mage comes later, after you've done this

The birdcall is just a memory on the original mission. There is no use for it.

The guy at the start is wearing a collar/heavy chain. If you can find a key for it, then this would help. But you can not give it to him nor can you use it on him. Just make sure he can find it the other day.
