I finally got to play this and it was a lot of fun! Amazing how much gameplay was packed into such a small place but it's very difficult to figure out all the puzzles. I don't know if I would have completed it without a ton of help from nickie. Despite that I enjoyed it and there was a lot of really original interesting puzzles and a good storyline.

I did have one issue but only with the quicksave slot which I only use as a regular save slot. When I tried to use it, the game would crash on reload but as long as I avoided it, I was okay so it was only a minor problem. I should mention that I was playing with the updated version, not the original release.

There's a readable in the west wing I think, which tells you where a key is hidden - that's the key for the box. You then need to 'empower' what you find in the box.

The hammer is inside the box.
The key to open the box is sort of a multi-stepped puzzle

You need to find a character/creature that has been transformed but who refuses to drink the potion that will transform him back into his correct shape. So to make the creature drink the potion, you need to mix the potion with some 'fragrant blue cheese' that you can find in one of the bedrooms. This will produce a new item.

You should search outside in the area of the big skull. Try looking below buildings. When you've found the creature you need to feed, you'll get what you need to find the hammer.
