where is the hook ?
Is it the one in the room next to the loose brick room ? i can't pick this one up !! It's hanging, where the demon is walking around. Just walk behind him and pick it up, use it on the magnetic rock and get all in the storage room, provided, you got the tiny key.
If you're looking for the hook to hang the mage on: it's in the same area, just opposite where the other hook is. Just hang the mage there and watch what will happen.

If you have Stobb's key and diary and have placed the electric wires, then you will be able to use the key on the electric box and turn the electrics on. That will trigger someone who'll have a key you can use. Don't worry about the hook for now, you'll get that a bit later.

Xorak,
Very very fine work! :thumb:
It's lovely to see the very first thief mission I ever played, in a very exiting new style. :D
It was a bit difficult. I had to look for clues in this thread more times than I like to reveal. ;)
Thank you!

You need to do something with
the dumbwaiter in the kitchen. The note nearby will give you a hint about what not to put in the dumbwaiter. Further hint:
try looking for something inside the burrick cave. Also, try looking for
another passage in the basement underneath the kitchen.

I was looking everywhere for the rootwood fruit and ended up in the "skull" courtyard with the tomb portal.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Check one of the rooms in the 'acolyte's quarters.'
Or are you saying you somehow broke the mission? :wot:

Thank you Xorax, that was some mission. I never had any crashes, too, I guess because I used the version 1.1. posted by Komag :) (I started by playing the original version but because I the readables didn't work the way they should I downloaded the version 1.1. and restarted the mission.)
Truly devious puzzles. I got stuck a lot in the beginning, namely
1) I couldn't find the way upstairs (because I didn't notice the floor of the dumb waiter (?))
2) Couldn't find the yellow wire
3) Mostly because I assumed that the demon was the Big Boss -- I didn't realize that it was only a minor annoyance you had to deal with to get on with the mission, heh. Clever.
I figured out the coded message just because Dinarde was the only name I encountered with 7 letters, hm, Banassa (?) I guess too, good I didn't think of her.
I finished with 100+ short of the total loot (I was playing on expert), pretty good for me.
I have a question, though -- how can I help Joseph? I tried using the bone key on him, but nothing happened. Argh, never mind I just figured it out -- cool

Sort of, I guess. You can mantle onto the short obelisk near that outbuilding (the one with the empty "elevator" shaft and dirt pile inside), then onto the outbuilding itself.
Dance along the nearby stone arch/beam and you can get into the courtyard (looking at your feet to avoid crashing the game engine). It doesn't do much good--I didn't have any keys or artifacts to continue further. There's a mage somewhere nearby, but I couldn't lure him out by bashing on the iron Keeper door.
