Ok. I'm stuck.
First off, great mission. Very well done. A bit crashy - but then, I've found Thief does not like this old computer anyway, so I'll just be glad I can play at all. heh (I can't even get TG to run at all, and T2 crashes any time a movie attempts to play, and T3 has no cursor. So go figure) Might be more T2 vs my computer than the mission anyway, as the OMs were crashy too.
The one thing I am having trouble with in this mission is the puzzles do not seem to have a lot of logic to them. No offense to its creator. :) One person's logic is not necessarily the other person's. But it escapes mine almost entirely. Still fun, though. Even if I do feel somewhat stupid in needing to come scour the forums for hints every couple of minutes.
Anyway, I am stuck on Expert. I have a few clues on how to proceed, but I can't figure out how to proceed in proceeding. lol
I have the 'fragrant blue cheese', which I assume is what Stobb's 'little friend' wants. But he won't eat it. I am assuming I have to figure out some way to mix a potion with it. But I can't find another potion (first was the dispel potion) or any readables referring to the recipe for one. Assuming I'm looking at the little ape on the bed that squeaks like a rat, and not the big giant cyclops ape with the fog over his head.
I also found a mould somewhere or another, and put it on the frobbable place in the secret cubby of the storage closet upstairs. It opened and shows I now need a hammer. I have not seen a hammer?
I have read in the readables that I need some blood (ew!), and another that said I could use the demon's blood. Well I have it trapped as a bug. I found a bucket of blood in the cloak room near the main hall. (ew ew!) But I can't do anything with it. And another readable said I need angel blood or some such. No sign of that either.
I also found a 'magic' ring in a portal in a box. But apparently the ring needs charged up or something and I'm totally missing any hints on how to do that.
I also need to find some 'inner tunnels' and I haven't even seen a hair of where I should be looking for that.
Basically? I'm so totally clueless about this whole mission its not even funny. Funny how you can enjoy poking around a mission, even when you're hopelessly clueless about it. lol But some help on how to keep going would be appreciated.

None taken. The mission is easier on the easier levels though, if the puzzles are too absurd/difficult to solve.

hidden room in the large center of the map. Try poking around the walls near the forest, and see if you can find a tunnel. This might give a hint where to find the potion you need, and where to use it.Further hint:

One of which is solved when you complete the puzzle above. You'll know that one is solved because you'll get a couple of items.
Have you found
an iron hook anywhere? And did you notice
a hole in the brick wall behind the door in the rooms beyond the eastern entrance to the basement? These might hold some clues.Quote Posted by Elentari

Try poking
around the large library. Curtains can hide many things. Oh, but now you need to find a way onwards. Hey look, that chessboard highlights when you're near it. But now you still need a key... Have you found everything in the bedroom beside Versaw's bedroom? Are you sure you found everything in Pox's room? There's a puzzle you're missing to find the key.Printer's Devil on 6/8/2012 at 17:57
Done! A solid mission and with mages, which you don't see too often. The puzzles were only slightly obtuse to me. Little switches and tiny things hidden behind furniture drives me bananas though.
Also: The wisp won't get sucked into the ring unless it's pointing directly at the wisp. I was stumped for quite a while on that one.

where is the empty vial ?
Also I put the gem in the corpse pick up the body , the hook highlights but i can't hang the body , what am i missing ?

The body acts like an item now, so make sure the icon for it is visible in the bottom of the screen. Cycle through your items until it appears.
You haven't reached the part yet where you can get the vial. But a general hint to its location if you still want a hint: it's somewhere in the upper floors on the western side of the estate

i've killed the demon , opened the double doors , there is a metal door outside but i don't have the key ! which key is it ? is this the west wing ?

I think you need the
key with a skull and yes, this is the west wing. You'll find another key in here to get back on track. Also look out for some other key .... look under some stairs ... :angel:

Outright spoiler: Stephanus' bedroom, which is near where the apebeast was standing at the bottom of some stairs.
