Ok, here is what is locked still:

the door at the top of the steps where the first gate I had to open was
the little lockbox in the bricked doorway
and the panel on the wall next to said little lockbox

Here is what I have:
1 vial of foul smelling goop
1 skull key
1 stobbs key (dunno if I used it already)
1 crust's key (same thing)
1 ornate knife
1 empty bottle
0 patience left - please help

I got the lever but I'm not sure what to do with it. I feel certain I'm supposed to use it to turn the lights on but I can't find anywhere to use it! I've searched everywhere I could in the basement (there are locked doors I can't open yet) and I'm stumped. What do I do?
I'm playing on expert.

The lever is used to gain access into the estate from another direction. Try looking for another entrance into the mansion.

I get a crash to Desktop right at the start where you drop down near that snoring and the letter.
I don't know whether it is caused by one of those flashing lights or a custom sound, general hatred of XP64, or what ?
