The lever is used
to gain access into the estate from another direction. Try looking for another entrance into the mansion.Ok, I think I've found where I need to be, but now I have a new problem: I'm experiencing the bug where the game crashes when pressing the escape key to get into the menu to save. . . so now I have a very stupid question. How do you do quicksaves? I've never ever done that before--ridiculous, I know.

There's a key for it in your custumize control options. Not sure what the default is, maybe ctrl-F11 to save, F11 to load, it looks like. It's near the bottom of the list, just above the Take Screenshot and the Gamma controls.

Thanks, I'll check it out. If nothing else, I suppose playing the game in Iron-Man mode might be an option.

This FM has had me going for a while and trying to figure out what goes where.
Right now I need to:
Find some magic blood.
Find a use for the skull key. (Maybe? Can't remember if I've used it yet.)
I've also read something about "thanks to the testers", which is something I haven't come across yet.
Also, is Flibert of any use?
Any hints or suggestions to any of these points would be greatly appreciated.

If you've reached Filbert, you've used the skull key. No there is nothing to do with him. The magic blood is very close to where you found Shardhang the wizard lying on a table. But you may still need something to collect it into to. Like a vial or something.
The 'thanks to the testers' easter egg is a little further on, inside a bonus objective area. Quote Posted by downwinder
need some help
You do need the
yellow wire to proceed. There was a clue for its location in the scroll in the first room when you enter the estate from the eastside. Further hint: the yellow wire is behind the only electric light that doesn't turn on when you turn the lights on in the basement.

Need some help please, playing on Expert, I can't find the inner tunnels, so really need a big clue. I've already gotten into Mortus' suite. Thanks!

playing on Expert, I can't find the inner tunnels, so really need a big clue. I've already gotten into Mortus' suite. Thanks! The door
to the inner tunnels is inside the library. It's controlled by something frobbale in there. To find that key, try looking in Pox's room. There's a scroll in there hinting where someone might've hidden the key.

Well i finally managed to finish this fantastic mission on expert. Thank you to the author for a very enjoyable albeit somewhat frustrating experience with quite a lot of CTD's.
But i'm missing a bonus objective and 125 loot for the loot objective and would appreciate some help.
I have the intricate metal hammer and the metal mold, but i have no idea where to use them?
Any clues to hard to find loot? Possibly a list of secrets could help? I have only found 2 of 3, but i can't remember where unfortunately.

I found a note in Familius Pox's room with a code to get a key somewhere. . something about adding numbers to the letters of someone's name and I can't figure out this code. Can someone give me a hint, please?
