...did you pick up
the staff before burning the heart or burn the heart before getting the staff?Just thought I would clarify that
it is not possible to burn the heart before getting the staff. You must have the staff in order to burn the heart.

Where were you earlier when I was floundering around trying to remember whether that bug was fixed or not? :laff:
I knew I was not in good memory shape today.

Finally found the time to play this - finished at 2 am, as I just couldn't put it down!
What a rip-roarin', adventure-style Thief FM; one of, IMO, the very best tomb missions :thumb: Immersive & Thiefy, with great architecture, layout, gameplay, puzzles, sound & clues. And real atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Particulars I liked included the new, very appropriate, mummy sounds (frankly , I'm pretty sick of the standard zombie sounds), & the way of exiting the area with the Book Of The Dead - was wondering what all those vicious-looking spikes were for :cheeky:
My only nitpicks were a few tough jumps & mantles (then again I'm pretty lousy at that), a couple of instances of Sudden Garrett Death Syndrome & maybe the switches in the room with 4 coffins (Relic #4?) were a bit obscure.
One strange thing I don't think I've encountered before - found myself able to jump 'through' ropes as if they weren't there (I'm set on Attach By Jump), which made getting Relic #3 a bit frustrating - although the Emporer's mummies sounded more annoyed than me :laff:
Great Stuff; thanx very much, nicked :thumb: :thumb:

I finished this excellent mission with all 5 relics. I can't wait for more like this. Nicked your one of the best.
Only had 2 problems:
1. Got caught in the rising sand in the book of the dead area. Not a big deal but thought I would let you know.
2. The game got a bit slugish in the lava room which may have contributed to the rope arrow bug. I jumped right through one like Sticky Fingers on 2 or 3 occasions. Really wierd!
Number one I have no problem with, but 2 got annoying after a bit.
But hey it was still an excellent mission well worth many replays. :thumb::cheeky:

Sticky fingers...
I also thought I had Garretts sudden death syndrome....in the spike room with the sloped rooftop..when I leant over each side of the roof....but I figured it was just crouching under the spikes at the edges that was doing it...lol
I didnt have GSD syndrome anywhere else.
I just wanted to say...very imersive mission, full marks for keeping me attentive and amused...to death on a few occasions!...wonderful details... sparkling light on the water...fresh green plants and the sumptuous colours, all added to the great feel of this one.....the only downside... I was at no point scared and I like to be...heheh:D

Tannar, thanks for the pictures. All I now know that I'm at the wrong side of this room. I have NO CLUE what I did wrong to end up here first than on the other side.
I'll start over again.

Nicked, You really are on the tip of my tongue for this FM:thumb:
It's só greatly made, lots of stuff to discover and a scenery that's is awesome:cool:
I love it! :thumb:
I also notice that I was stuck on the other side of the spike room.
I know that I got there on a normal way.
After my "fault" for being there, on thát side, I couldn't get back to the starting point in some way.
I guess that's a bug, since I have to start all over again and can't explore other options from that point of view.
Perhaps I'm wrong.
This NOT a chritisism point of view from me to you, just a remark, you could consider it in future FM's, whích I for sure am looking forward too.

Gloria,
You actually don't get stuck (unless you get physically stuck, of course and the walls turn to sand just as you strafe the corner. . .but I find that can happen randomly in *any* mission. Liquid walls, I think.) anywhere in the mission. You can criss cross, go back and forth and up and down and around. If you need to go back you can go back.
*Hint for the pit:
There is a way to make a shortcut across the pit.
*Spoiler:
When you get to the bottom part of the pit and follow the mummy up the ramp to the top, get past him and run to the end where the brazier's burning. There is a switch that will open a path across the pit so you can get from that area and back again without having to go all the way around.
As well, the elevator has switches so you can ride it up or down as you need. Just don't forget to get off in time. :D
Hope that simplifies things for you. :)

Thanks very much Elentari: I allready thought there might be a path over to the other side of this pit, looking at all of these "bubbles"[/SPOIL , but I never saw the switch :erm:
BTW:
I get physically stuck a lot of times in FM's, as you described. :nono:
It happens and all I do is restart my latest saved position.
I'm not the one to critisize these author's, of FM's :
I din't make a FM of my own yet, so who am I to blame?! :ebil:
