I'm confused too - with the layout, I didn't think it was possible to go 'backwards'.
I made the mistake of frobbing
that loose stone from the wrong side. Even though it highlights on the correct side, I was able to get the focus on the other side. I did notice that the blue water current was flowing against me, but I was able to move against the flow once I was on the floor of that blue water tunnel. I found the keypad. :o

Sticky Fingers: Makes it hard to answer something too - when it gets answered while you're typing. lol
I'm just totally baffled how this manages to happen when the beta-testing team was so good. lol
Aspirin, hopefully you're on your way now. :)
Now just don't rope over areas you're not supposed to rope over. *grins*

You're supposed to be able to
frob it from the fire shrine side - but you should get a message telling you you can't move it from that angle - or some such. It shouldn't effect when you frob it from the water shrine side.

Well you're heart is obviously in the right place John. I'm always doing things that I'm told not to do. :laff:
I hope you can now get to the end of this OK.

I am now running for my life trying to get out. Thanks for the help Nickie, Elentari, and Sticky Fingers.
btw I'm a pretty good beta tester. If a mission can be broken, I'll find out how. :ebil:

well, i justed completed this and i must say it is an expertly crafted mission and well worth playing again. what with the ambience and setting, it reminded me of one of my favourite games of the past - exhumed.
good on ya nicked for bringing back good memories and creating new ones with this masterpiece.:thumb:

This has been a wonderful mission. This one tickled all my Thiefy parts from start to...well, just about finish. This final objective (destroy the spirit) is just plain...oh, never mind. I haven't the faintest clue what I'm supposed to do in order to destroy an evil spirit. I must have skipped that class :p
The death symbol sort of looks like a heart. Is there a heart? I have the staff, but it does nothing. I read through the readables again. Can't I just push really hard against the stone blocking my way out?
Just give it to me straight...no need to hint around...
Thanks,
- eep!

eep - Your intuition is correct, even though you skipped that class. ;) There is in fact a heart. When you got the staff you went through a "throne room" with a scarab. The heart is in the chest next to the throne.

Eep,
Done this in 'hinty' fashion so you only get as much as you want (and so anyone else stuck can get 'nudges' but not the entire answer. :)
Giveaway:
1. To leave the tomb again after grabbing the staff, you need to burn the heart.
2. To find the heart, find the squishy gooey fleshy thing in the throne room.
3. Burn it on a brazier elsewhere in the temple. You should know which one.
3.A. The room where you found the hammerite's skeleton has the correct brazier.

Edit: Oy, Tannar beat me again! Stop typing so fast, Tannar! lol

This FM was a LOT of fun, just the right amount of puzzles, and not too difficult, to make my head explode. Good job on this. Now I have to play on expert and get ALL the relics! Thanks for all your hard work nicked! Love it. :)
