Loved "From beneath the sands", and was pleasantly surprised to see a sequel. The atmosphere was great, and so were the music, and ambients. Great looking textures, especially in the "real" tomb", and those hyper mummys that come out to play when you grab the staff/scepter were a nice creepy challenge. Especially in the sprint through the maze. Love the scarab too. It's one of my favorite custom AI.
On the downside. I found the fire shrine counter-intuitive. Here's this big slab on the other side of an opening with rope arrows. Past that is a ledge you can get to from the slab. Very misleading. It takes a bit to figure out exactly where the rope arrows can be used at all, and then you get across to a dead end. Nothing really indicated looking up past the first beams, and even when you do, you end up on top of the beams, and they go nowhere. At least until you say "what the hell" out of frustration, and try to shoot one into the roof from there, by which point you have used all the rope arrows experimenting, and have reloaded at least a few times. To make continuation of the mission dependant on it kind of sucks without clearer hints or some texture that screams wood.
Other than that, I enjoyed this mission quite a bit. I did have a few other frustrations, but they were oversights on my part, and I figured them out eventually. Only found 1 relic though. Have to go back in and look for the rest. Other than the one complaint, this was a great FM. :thumb: Looking forward to a part 3, and 4 and however many you make Hehe. :ebil:
BTW, I am curious about the mummy sounds. I love how they sound muffled. Like they really are grunting through bandages. How did Random_Taffer go about making the sounds?

Sorry you felt the fire shrine was confusing, it certainly wasn't intended to be a hidden puzzle - I figured the hint about the pillar of iron would cause people to look around for one, but of course the mission will always be easy and straightforward for me cos I built it!
I'm sure RT can give a more complete answer, but if I recall correctly, he made the sounds by literally putting a sock or something over his mouth so it sounded like he was talking through bandages.

I didn't find the fire shrine puzzle that tough, nor was it easy. I believe I was able to see one of the levers on the top level from the entrance area, and knew what to do. It did take me a few tries to figure out where best to place the rope arrows, though - I probably reloaded 2 or 3 times.

cardia, all these questions you have, they've been answered, and they aren't but a page or two back.
Oh BrokenArts why bother yourself with trivial matters, give me your hand and let me take you to a ride on the beach, we´re still on time to catch the sunset, leave the pc apart for a while, or for a few weeks, or few months, years, or forever, we don´t need this unreal life to be happy, we just need the love from each other and feel what life has good to offer, come and lets see together the big ball of fire melt in the ocean, let´s have a romantic moment and live a real life.

Many thanks for this excellent mission Nicked, your Egyptian missions are my favourite from your productions, they are a escape to the usual thief atmospheres missions, this Egyptian missions bring a new atmosphere, very good, very relaxing, The Architecture is Beautifull, the textures were well placed and well matched, the Gameplay is very good, the storyline is interesting, and the ambient sounds are very good and placed in the right place at the right moment...overall an excellent mission:thumb:

What a fun mission. I really like missions like this, lots of exploring and puzzle solving. I'd be happy to see similar exotic or "Lost City" settings in more future FMs. How many more mansions are left to rob?

The only relic I came across during my first play was the scimitar in the real throne room. Quite disappointing to not come across the other four, but I went back and got them. I knew something was up with that room with the four sarcophagi and the big thing on the ceiling.
I am extremely proud that I didn't get caught in the pit trap after grabbing the staff. As I was entering the area, I noticed that single wooden beam across the ceiling and I thought, you know, that's really strange. I bet the floor will drop out after I do something further ahead. So I left a rope arrow hanging there to jump on after I grabbed the staff. Clean getaway! I tried going the pit trap route too, for fun.

I grabbed a metal gear and the floor opened. I tell down and there's a maze with a blue apparition. I only found a goblet there, but I'm not able to climb back upstairs anymore. Pls don't tell me there's no way out......

You'll find a lever on the wall near where you got the goblet.

The one that turns the lights on?

Yes that one. Head back to the start, and you will find you can get out now.
