Yes, you need to set fire to the bowl. You can use a fire arrow, or a flare (although you may need to reposition the flare a few times before it lights.)

Thank you so much. I'd tried the fire arrow but not in the right place, and flares, in the right place but not enough of them. As I said, embarrassingly stupid.:o

Great mission over all. I played on medium and it took me a while - about 2 hours. I was going slow and looking for stuff. The clues were pretty good. This is one of the first large FMs that I did not have to resort to a spoiler. I never got stuck, which made the gameplay very enjoyable.
I only got 2 relics though. Next time I play it, I will search for them all. One question that no one has asked. Is there a sword anywhere? I figure there isn't one, but just had to ask.

Fantastic mission Nicked! I just replayed it and as always I'm in awe. Just really well put together imo.
Good size, good pacing, tricky but not hair-pulling puzzles, immersive and never boring.

If you've got the book of the dead and you've found the supply of water then you just need to return to where you found Golik, and a new passage will have opened.
