You're supposed to be able to get out the way you came in. And whatever it was I said before was entirely wrong so I've deleted it so I don't confuse anyone.
And obviously you didn't. So, if your exit is blocked then I'm not sure what would be causing that except a variation of the bug. It didn't happen in any of the betas except in the circumstances above. I could suggest trying the whole staff/heart burning thing again although I don't know about you, but I was completely knackered after all that running.
Maybe nicked or Tannar will have a better suggestion.

My bad. The exit was open. I didn't see the ladder and was trying to rope arrow out. Finished!

I am obviously not good at reading maps and haven´t got a clue what they are saying, need help for this code thank you anyone.
Also is there a way to open what looks like a stone door in the fire shrine, to the left? :confused:

kittykat - go to the 3rd map (2 maps superimposed); the code is in the bottom left corner. And you can't open that door from the shrine side; you may come through it later though.

Do you remember where you found Golik's journal and the body below Daihotep's burial chamber area on the map? - a way should have opened up now.
