biker - in the guardpost near the pool outside the ground floor of the Reliquary. There's an arrow.

cool thanks..
Also what is the hi-explosive and moon flowers for if anything..
PotatoGuy on 25/6/2009 at 12:50
The explosive device CAN be used to get to the ShadowJack, but it isn't really necessary. The moon flowers are just beauiful and that's it.

A short round of taffn' about didn't help me find any more loot, but I found a key that I hadn't found before, the Cellar Key. I tried to find what it opens, and as far as I can tell it
opens at least one of the doors in the ShadowJack door sequence. And I just chucked a couple of powder kegs at them.Actually, the Cellar Key works on the storm-cellar-style doors that lead between the garden and the basement, at the top of the stairs near that pagan fellow. These doors are also lock-pickable, so it is entirely possible that you have already gone through them before finding this particular key. I like to give the player as many options as I can, especially when it comes to getting around the mansion so there are relatively few doors that only open with a key or only open by lock-picking ... with a few noteworthy exceptions. ;)
In this particular case, I wanted to reward observant players with a quick way back to the gardens, in case they had chosen to enter the mansion another way and the cellar doors were still locked. Personally, I don't get much enjoyment from slowly picking a lock with no one around to potentially catch me doing it. If you look hard enough, you can often find keys to some of the harder locks. Just a question of knowing where to search.
As for the other door you mentioned
there is no key. All of those doors require ... special ... measures. :sly: Quote Posted by Bikerdude

The explosive barrels and explosive device from the Reliquary can also be used for a few other purposes ... like tossing them at guards or setting them off with fire arrows for fun. They can also be used to
damage vital machinery.

Odd. When I found the Emergency Supplies locker, I picked the lock and then used the key to lock it again. So I figured, as I had already opened every door in the basement, that the Cellar Key would just lock the door again it was meant for. I tried it on the "coal chute" doors, but they didn't lock. However, when I tried it on the "other" door, it closed and would not open unless I used the key on it again.
BTW, one weird thing I did that might interest a few taffers: I used the ShadowJack to kill the Skeleton Mage. I just hammered away on his back until he poofed.

nice mission. did everything except the doors in basement. opened them by blasting a few but last room empty? am I missing the obvious?
thanks for the reply
Tannar on 26/6/2009 at 01:34
I wouldn't say it's obvious. Search that little room very carefully.

Look up.
In the "weird stuff to do" department, I decided to try to vacate the Reliquary before taking the Scepter. Of course no one would come quietly with me, so after several shouts of "Don't Jack me bro!" I was busy escorting the Lord's security staff to a...safe location. I chose the Master Bedroom and soon enough there was a huge sleepover going on in there. Then I went and grabbed the Scepter.
Let's just say that the Hard-working Maid is going to freak out when she sees the Master Bedroom...when she finally comes to. Of course she's gonna have to find a way down from the chandelier first. The Lord and his crazy parties, eh?Also, was I the only one who felt I was playing the Thief version of Jet Set Willy while playing this mission?
