What exactly do you mean by "it doesn't work"? Do you mean that when you are armed with it, you are not hidden? Or are you having trouble getting it to come up in your arsenal?

Ok, it won't come up in the usual way. For example, if you use your mouse wheel to scroll through your weapons. You need to go to your game controls screen and look at your key binds and see which keys you have set to scroll through weapons and use those instead. Then it will come up.

100 loot short. I am pretty damn sure it's the purse on the belt of some of the guards inside because I saw it there once, but the situation was not suitable for grabbing it (there were two more in tow), and I waited in the same place for over half an hour (he went through the casino towards the pool and to the right), ran all over the mansion, can't find him. Anyone can help with his patrol route? The lootlist says he's patrolling pool room to library, but I couldn't catch him there, either.

Nevermind. As usual, caught him by chance a mere minute after spending 2+ hours trying to find.
Just for the record, his route is not what mentioned there. I tailed him (well, two of them, they go in pair), and it's:
Lobby ->
Corridor between offices ->
Parlor ->
Trough game room (if it's open already, I think corridors around it otherwise) ->
Pool ->
Upstairs pool ->
Through upstairs theater ->

There is more than one guard with a purse. One of them is patrolling from the pool to the library. But I'm glad you found the one you were looking for.
