On the ground floor is a small room full of office cubicles, just east of where "Main Office" is marked on the map. Have a look in there.

How much longer on the movie update? I would like to play the full version right out of the gate. Thanks for your time!

Looks like Tannar, Nickie and others have caught most of the questions, but let's see what I can do:

I don't have an exact ETA quite yet, but it should be later tonight, tomorrow at the latest. I've found a workable compromise for the movie problem, so that should be fine. However, I also just received files to add Italian language support to Wicked Relics so it will take me a little bit longer to put everything together and verify the zip file for upload. Sorry for the delays!

Bug?
When wielding the ShadowJack, everything lights up as if I'm a lightsource. Frobbables light up from miles away, which helps loads to find the coins in the fountain. Otherwise, it works as intended. The strange and sometimes useful lighting effects are just another unusual property of the legendary ShadowJack. Even I don't understand all its mysteries! :D Quote Posted by Unkillable Cat
The graveyard is awesome. Reading the epitaphs was worth the effort of getting in there. If I may ask, where did you get them from? Some are familiar to me, others are not.
I scrounged them off the internet from various locations, mostly joke sites, but a few are apparently from real headstones! I originally planned on crediting the sources but I lost track of the info over the years.

Is there a purpose for the Moon Flowers?
Nope. Beyond providing Garrett with a portable light source (as if he needs one!), the moon flowers exist to look pretty and glow. Sadly, they didn't quite make the cut for getting a unique bonus objective or secret reward. Almost ... but not quite. Maybe in my next mission .... :sly:

I thought to begin with this mission was gonna be a bit bland, run around steal a few things and leave - but boy was I wrong...
I like to surprise people. Just ask my beta-testers .... :cheeky:
If you enjoyed Wicked Relics, you might want to check out my other large mission, Bloodmist Tower. It's not your typical mansion mission either ... but in a completely different way. It's not as well-polished as WR, nor as traditionally Thiefy, but it's a lot of fun to play. Of course, I might be a bit biased. :)
Oh .. and the Wall Builder poem and the other long quote
Tricky Nick's eulogy - Can you guess how to trigger this one? , are both from Thief 1, as Unkillable Cat guessed. A few of my beta-testers agree that they did show up in the hammerite OM, but I also have no memory of hearing them from when I played it all those years ago. I stumbled across them when looking for other Garrett quotes and KNEW I had to find a place for them in my mission! They were just too awesome. :cheeky:
Nice Doll-Stacking! :thumb:
As for the dagger, it has no purpose other than providing positive identification of Lord Dasherville for players who do not wish to blackjack the wrong person. Plus, you can keep it as a souvenir after taking out Dasherville if you are the sentimental type. :D
Course, something tells me Garrett would be more likely to hock it on the black market after the job ... looks pretty expensive, after all.
Thanks for playing the mission everyone! I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

Congratulations on the release, KFort! Sadly, I don't have my computer up and running yet, so could not download the final game....maybe tomorrow.
This has been a long-time in the making for you, and thanks for all the hard work. Now you can breath a sigh of relief as the taffers finally get to enjoy it.
.....I just have to agree and say you are ebil :ebil: :joke:
I forgot I'm on my husband's computer. I'm not shifty...no, not at all.

Very nice mission. I'm however missing Saffron and Clarissa's wedding ring. Can someone please tell me where they are? And I can't get into the locked door in the cellar. Where's the key?
Unkillable Cat on 24/6/2009 at 04:21
Verak: Saffron can be found in the lobby, while Clarissa's Ring is by the fountain, close to the bottle, IIRC.
As for the door in the basement, you're gonna have to use the big lockpick on that one.

This mission was so damn entertaining...I don't know where to even begin! Just AWESOME all the way through. A few of my favorite bits (they're spoiler tagged for a reason, no peeking if you haven't played it- under penalty of death...and don't think I won't *readies ninja strike team*)
1: The giant pool with the diving boards. Really great idea, though I was kinda hoping I would trigger some sort of "wow, you're a dumbass" secret objective by swan diving off the top one. Whatever, I still did and much joy ensued.
2: The guy in the offices with the note thrown away that had "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" written on it repeatedly followed by DROMED written backwards. I LOLed, but this is probably a serious window into your madness. I'm so sorry.
3: Everything that happened after grabbing the scepter. When I was in the egyptian room before the crap hit the fan all I was thinking was "I really hope that mummy comes to life". You made me so happy. That invisible zombie on the bottom floor ran away from me after I flashbombed him a couple times...the big sissy. Also, is it possible to kill that skeleton mage? I hit him with my sword about 500 times and he kept chucking skulls at me, finally I gave up and just let him kill me. When I reloaded I couldn't help but say out loud "Wow...do not f*** with the mage".
4: All the genius and funny little touches. The clever loot items, the water arrows in fire-extinguisher style cabinets with the small hammers hung by them and the "break glass in case of emergency" signs (I totally did), the fire arrow locked up in the special weapons vault, the music in the ballroom, the little robot that follows you in the reliquary. Almost too much to name, every room had something I thought was either clever or hilarious in it.
5: The secret in the basement. BEST. EASTER EGG. OF ALL FREAKING TIME. When I got it all I could think was "NO, there is no way this FM is that awesome". Amazingly at the point I got the prize, I was so committed to the "No less than 5 KOs" objective I didn't actually use it to hit anyone. I barely even got to know it....:erg:
A couple other things. All the dewdrop style dolls- do they lead to some kind of hidden objective? I dropped everyone I found in the little girls room thinking it would trigger some kind of bonus objective telling me I had a heart of gold (Lies! ALL LIES!), but nothing happened. Also...where was Clarissa's wedding band? It was the only piece of her jewelery I never found...
SneakyJack on 24/6/2009 at 05:51
There are a couple bonus objectives hidden inside this gem of a mission - I wont reveal what they are but they are very clever. :D I know of two that haven't been mentioned (At least I don't think so) that will surprise the more diligent taffers out there :laff:
