Nice :laff:
Just crawl down behind it without making a noise and use 2 water arrows, but it's not thiefy enough compared to your technique :cheeky:

Whoo finally someone saw 'him' :thumb:
Just in case nobody ever noticed that :
someone is following you in the second mission, and he can be seen in 5 or 6 places. He is very important in the story, but you'll really discover him only later in the night ;)

aha! so that's who the voice meant, and
i think he's the one who put a bloody arrow into me when i grabbed one out of the ground! :p
i keep hearing him take drinks, just how many damned invis potions does the sob have???
could you please list where i might see him, just want to see what he looks like!
okayyy, i got to a place with a scroll said something about souls and all of a sudden there's no more english? the rest of the game is all in french?
Haunt type undead, refering to each other as "souls" yet also as "it", set up in a Keeper type organizational hierarchy - that's just BIZARRE!finished it! on to #3 i guess!
finally saw "him"! i bet i know who he is!!!!
(who is also known for his stealth skills?)
(if not him then it's gotta be either an enforcer or one of those creepy a** "souls")

I need a bit of help in mission 2.
I am in the sect compund, but can't find either the body of the second keeper (I have dropped of Ramy) or a means of getting the Soul Heart gem. Has anybody got an ideas? I read something about a series of switches that needed to be used, but I cant actually find these.
DrK on 31/8/2009 at 15:00
In the sect compound there is a circular room with the gem in the middle. On the second floor of this room there are books on the wall, look carefully there are 2 hidden switches among the books, one for the gem, one for the keeper.

I am having problems with Rockxbourg 1 and 2. When I try to play either of them it crashes out. However Rocksbourg 3 does not. I remeber starting these ages ago but not finishing them, as I became hopelessly lost. So I thought I'd try again, harder.
I've downloaded them again, installed the codecs, rebooted and returned to T2 for a clean start but nothing works.
Does anyone have any suggestions? All the other fms are working as normal.

Well, it looks like it's the movies, somehow.
To verify that, you should replace the briefing movie with one of the
Thief 2 movies.
To fo so, install the Rocksbourg mission you want to play, e.g., by selecting the mission in Darkloader and clicking the "Install" button instead of the "Play" button. (I don't use Garrettloader and can't tell you what exactly you have to do then, but I think you can do basically the same there.)
Once the mission is installed and ready for playing, look into your
Thief 2 game folder. There should be a folder called "movies" in there. In this folder you should find a movie file, beginning with "B" and usually ending with a two-digit number. For example, it's B21.AVI for the second Rocksbourg mission.
If there are several movies like this one in the folder, examine the dates of the movies. The Rocksbourg movies should be from 2005 or 2006, while the original
Thief 2 movies are from around 2000.
Once you have found the right movie, delete it. Then, copy SUCCESS.AVI from the game CD (in \thief2\movies) into this directory and rename it into B21.AVI (or whatever the deleted movie's name was).
If you play the mission now, you should see the "Mission completed" movie instead of the Rocksbourg briefing movie. If this works, it is certainly some problem with the codecs for the Rocksbourg movies. We can then try to find out what exacly goes wrong and what you can do to solve the problem.
