UNAR part1 when I download it, now about 5 times, has a bad crc (winzip tested) with miss20.mis. DOS pkzipfix could not help me on this issue also. Can anyone download from Komag's site and from the French Mirror site and use winzip or something similar to test the zip file to see if any files have a different crc than reported in the archive's index? This way I can see if it is a download issue or not. Wanting to play this fm badly after doing part 2.
Garrett loader shows it as T2 mission. Have not yet been able to get DL 4.1 and 4.2 to show it as T2 mission,but the copies I downloaded appear to always had a bad mis file.

Ive only found the library key but I cant locate it! Where is the library?
And where exactly are the cellar key and any other keys I need?

Just started this FM and I must say, the textures are beautiful. Good to see so many talented people still making FM's these days. Dark never looked better. :thumb:

I have downloaded both ZIP files, installed and try to play. Thief2 starts OK. New game - Difficulty - New Beginning (Start game) => crash to desktop. Works the same for both files. Other FMs work perfectly. I tried to download from another mirror - the same problem. Both ZIP files tested with WinZip - OK. Darkloader 4.2. User and Teliamed scripts installed. Video codec (from FM ZIP) installed. Media player 7. Win98. I looked into FM readme, and into this thread and cannot find info whats wrong. Can somebody help me ? Thanks.

Try navigating to the
Thief2/movies folder.
Look for say the file b21.avi (the FM's intro movie I think) and run it manually. Does it run?

When installed 1st mission, and installed Media player (Version 7 !) and codec (WM9codecs_9x_ME_2K.exe - from mission zip file):
- death + success video plays correctly;
- b20 plays: sound seems ok; video I'm not sure - Media player first tries to connect to internet and get codec and when canceled I can see only strange pulsing one color point :confused: ; I think it's not right intro...
Maybe installed codec doesn't fit media player version ?

Aspirin, normally once you install the video codecs given in the zip files, you can play the vids without trouble. I don't understand why you still have some bugs. Install the codecs, and launch the game : maybe your media player is buggy, but I think thief can still read the vid...

[SPOILER]The librairy key can be used in Lord Namez quarters. To enter LN quarters, you have to find the key hidden in the courtyard, under bushes and wooden stairs. Once you're in LN quarters, read Namez diary and try to understand what he says : he gives hints to find tha other keys ;)[/SPOILER]
Safriend, it definitely download issues, as other players downloaded and played the first fm without trouble. Try to dl the first fm using a different download software than the one you're using. Sorry but I can't really help you on this...

I had restarted OS several times and now it works (thief2 doesn't crash to desktop, however video still doesn't work, but I can play mission; strange... only Bill knows whats the matter... ;) ). Thanks.
Anyway: this FM looks great from first moments. Light beams, new music, new look of old objects, first view of city/city sounds... GREAT !!!
