i'm getting a little bit frustrated.
2nd mission: all objectives done but still short of loot = i only have 4150 while need 4500.
found just 2 secrets, followed the hints about the other ones but no go.
[SPOILER]in tunnel 21 i followed blood stains but finished with with two barrels (one in water) and a corridor right - where's a secret there?
also looked behind pipes near warehouse - nothing found
then i tried to find sign on a wall near fortress but to be honest, what is this fortress?[/SPOILER]
great mission, and i must admit it's a first one i can't finish because i'm short of cash!:wot: :erm:

Viscon i have the same problem too, i am about 750 short of my loot target of 4500. :(

lol about hidden loot, just imagine where people could hide their money : look behind beds, under furnitures and all. Some are very well hidden ;)
Otherwise, try the secrets, it's hard but I'll try to explain the best I can :
[SPOILER]About the trails of blood, once you followed them, there is a catwalk and a metal door right ? look behind pipes on the left of the door, in the water, for a lil' switch
For the 'behind pipes mech and all'. Well near the mechanist warehouse, you'll see a corpse with an arrow stick in it, on a balcony/catwalk. To get there, you have to climb up several ladders or go through roof tops/balconies in the aera. At the same high than the corpse, there is a banner that you can use to cross from a building to another (like in 'life to a party'). right in front of it there are pipes, with a switch behind it.
And for the fortress, look on your map, in the second page : it's called 'forteresse', at the right of the map. y'know that's the building with a lot of light shafts and above the canal ;)[/SPOILER]

OK - found enough loot to finish 2nd mission.

Anyway: this FM looks great from first moments. Light beams, new music, new look of old objects, first view of city/city sounds... GREAT !!!
I've re-downloaded both missions from my own website (UNAR1_Depart.zip and UNAR2_Decouverte_fixed.part1.exe & UNAR2_Decouverte_fixed.part2.rar)
The 3 files are clean, checked with WinRAR. The 2 self-extrated rar unpack correctly, producing "UNAR2_Decouverte_fixed.zip".
Both UNAR1_Depart.zip & UNAR2_Decouverte_fixed.zip are also clean, are correctly seen as Thief2 missions by Darkloader v4.2 (I don't have any GL installed).
Both missions unpack correctly in Darkloader, the videos play....
So as fas I'm concerned, my mirror is clean. I donwloaded the files with my regular Firefox browser.
An again, don't forget to install the codecs. If you don't want to mess with those in the mission zip themselves, you can get them there :

depending on your Windows version.
If all the above don't work, you can always download the complete Windows Media Player 10 at Microsoft's and install it, that MUST work but of course it is a much bigger download than the codecs : more than 10MB.
And again, a shame you can't see the videos , 'cause they are rather long, and explains a lot about the background plot.
And a shame also because I've spent such a long bloody fucking time to find an apropriate codec to pack such big videos in such small sizes (less than 17MB for the biggest) :):ebil:

So DrK,we cannot actually get into the fortress right? It's just that you're saying that the secret is close to the fortress - which i did find.

Drk what courtyard and which stares and bushes? There are so many! The mission is starting to remind me of Venice. When i was there i almost got lost in its tight streets that make the venetian maze. If only your city was a bit more neat...
Can someone please gimme the actual key locations? I dont wonna start hatin this amaezing mission cause i cant find some keys

Edit: I have a couple of complaints about these otherwise fantastic missions. One: Keys can be very difficult to find. Two: The ambient music is way too loud.

Scrooge, thanks for your care. I'm sure FM files are ok. I have tried to download from 3 sources with the same results. Codecs are installed. I'll try to download last player version - 10.

Yeah, i gave up on mission one as the keys were so hard to find. Otherwise mission 2 was alright.
