Maybe they found a corpse or you tried to blackjack someone/ use an arrow... Sometimes, just by having a weapon in the hand alarms/panic them, quite random. And if some people saw you and ran after you in the security aera near the mechanist warehouse, people in the safety aera could have heard the screams or yellings. Normally if you acted like a normal citizen from the beginning, they are not supposed to attack you.
You can carry a body with you, but once you drop it on the ground to open a door, if anyone see it there goes the massive panic.

why do guards attack me now once I get to the startin place of the mission?
cant seem to find the other "secret glyph" could u give a more precise location? and doesnt the door in da pub require another secret key to escape?
cant find the glyph be more specific

Garrett's Landlord [SPOILER]In the sect compound, look above the Soul Heart aera. There you found the frobable book that opens the metal gate, so you were able to pick the gem. But there is also a second frobable book, that opens a metal door down the stairs ;)[/SPOILER]
