Wrong door Ethne :cheeky:
It's the one into the inn, under the huge wooden stairs that leads to the bedrooms.

Finished both missions! WOW :D
It took me quite some time. I hoped to finish them without help of spoilers but ..I failed :(
After a long search I found the key
on the ground in Lord Namez's courtyard
in mission 1, but in Mission 2 I don't think I would have found the glyphs in
the Black market tunnel
without help. I hope to see a few extra readables with hints in the next parts to make it easier for players to find certain keys.
Although this campaign is not finished yet I can already say that this is one of the best, and the most beautiful, city campaigns I've played so far :thumb:
The detail is really impressive. Although I must say you implemented a lot of lightning beams in both missions (in mission 2's Inn for example, you can see lightning bams coming out of almost window). This effect is something special and must not be implemented too often in my opinion.
Also nice work for those two beautiful briefing movies. Hearing them in french instead of english was a little strange the first time though :)
I was also really impressed by the new themes and the sounds in the city (like the cat and footsteps) and all the NPC's having their own name. Further compliments go to atmosphere, story, secrets, readables, loot amount and new enemies, which are all way above average!
Also some well meant criticism: the occasionally dissapointing level design in comparison with other locations, the absence of some impressive scripted events and the absence of weather effects (but this was probably because you reached dromed limits ;). For your first contact with dromed you did a great job. Overal you made two outstanding city missions that hit Gold status. Rating: 9 :thumb:
Good luck with making the next parts, Eric. You still have a lot of work to do, but I'm sure you can make the sequels as great as these two, and maybe even better. I'm really looking forward to play them when they're ready!!

By viewing the screenshots this mission seems to have all I want from a FM.

The first time I heard the cat screech sound I thought I had stepped on it. Really enjoying the missions. Awesome!

I don't want to plow through all these pages to find the answer, though I did make an attempt. It seems nobody had difficulty in getting the Soul Heart. How does one get to it?
I did accidently notice that picking up Protective Soul Firgas causes the blue lighting inside that cage contraption to go out, but so what
Aspirin on 17/1/2006 at 07:20
You should open cage with one of the books in library.
Thanks....I hate looking for
frobbable books in huge librarys
Excellent work. Simply excellent.
On the 2nd mission...
One thing I searched and searched for but couldn't find a way to get to was the third floor of that tower, with the 2 spiders in it, by the black market. I could see a guy standing in the window, but for the life of me couldn't find out how to get at him.

That is an interesting comparison, but I think it is really apples vs. oranges. I think that the map in Midnight at Murkbell is several times larger (4-5?) in linear dimension than Rocksbourg, and Murkbell a lot more realistic in terms of a functioning city. The thing that makes Rocksbourg unique and fun, to me, is how much interesting stuff and exploration is crammed into quite a small space, really, as well as the 3-D nature of the maze.
Is there a link for Midnight at Murkbell, can't seem to find it. I love large city missions.

Midnight in Murkbell is the second mission of Calendra's Legacy. It's outstanding and if you haven't played it, you really should.
