I'm playing through the 2nd FM of this and i'm gobsmacked! :wot: This thing is rather pretty, with neat level design, architecture and a nice atmosphere. I like it loads! Good show DRK. This is one of the best City FM's i've had the pleasure of playing. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Your occupation is really showing here.

Thanks a lot Sluggs ! After playing your last fm, I really appreciate your compliments :D
And yep, Ominous bequest is way longer, and I remember I saw a 1200 replies thread in the editor guild :wot:. Anyway, I don't really care about having the longest thread or not, but it's a real pleasure to see my work interests players that much :thumb: Thanks again to the whole Thief community !

Great mission so far -
I just had to comment on one area I found to be extremely well designed.
Near the start is an attic (with a hole in the floor by a plank), and there's a ladder leading down outside a window. Following that ladder down, turn left at the bottom and there's a small enlosed area with a barrel next to a torch.
I was snooping inside the little dark niche in there, and as I looked up at the rotting rafters, the whole city came to life for me, with the ambient sound and lighting that suddenly turned a T2 map into a whole other experience. There was nothing special in there loot or weaponwise, but the game has been much more than a goal-hunt for me ever since. Crawling along ductworks has never been so much fun (well, maybe Metal Gear Solid, but that was a looong time ago!) Great work - I can hardly wait to see what Pt 2 looks like, and hope to see more Rocksbourg installments soon!!!:D

i need to find the key to the door in the inn, and the dead keeper, i know he's in the basement of the sect compound, must be behind the locked door, but i cant find the second frobable book help
blow on 14/2/2006 at 12:25
ok, found the dead keeper and returned him, now where is that cellar key, the innkeeper says a ghost pinched it - is it something to do with this running ghost?
DrK on 14/2/2006 at 13:35
Well, what he considered as a ghost was in fact a member of the sect. The key can be found in the sect compound. Soul Sath has a key on his belt, which opens a door in the archives
