 what do you mean ? You opened the footlock on your left at the beginning, in Estobiaz room, and you don't have the blackjack ? wtf ?
madwolf on 19/2/2006 at 10:04
Yeah I'm afraid so. I tried it again after posting last night, same thing happened; got all my other gear but no blackjack. It doesn't appear to have happened to anyone else so it's not a big problem. Except to me.
It's a shame as I'm really enjoying the mission, but I'm no ghoster, I want to bang heads.

Well that's a serious bug I can't understand  It never happened before...
Could it come from your thief install or something ?
Anyway, I can't really help you on this :(
Maybe you could open the mission with DromEd, add yourself a blackjack in Estobiaz room, then save the mis file and play it normally... You can do whatever you want with what's in your zip file as long as you don't distribute it after ;)

Might add some gas arrows too.....:ebil:

Have you tried checking your Controls to see if a key is still assigned to your BJ? I've come across people who have had a piece of equipment and didn't realize it because the game had "lost" the key assignment for that particular item. It even happened to me, years ago, with rope arrows once. It's worth a look anyway.

Thanks Nightwalker but I played Snobs 2 afterwards and the blackjack was present and correct
EDIT: Well I feel like a right eejit. I've just reread what DrK said and realized I was in the wrong room. As the objective stated that I had to get my gear from Artemis I expected to get my blackjack from him too. I didn't even see the the footlocker in the first room.

I hate to do this when I'm certain that the answers I need are somewhere in this lengthy thread, but I was starting to learn things about the mission I didn't yet want to know.
I am unbearably stuck outside the city!
I am missing keys, and have one key for which I cannot find the door.
I have been in Lord Nevan's place for which I needed "Lord Nevan's Key," and have been in the library there, for which I needed the "Librairy Key." Across the courtyard from that place is a wooden door which I cannot pick, and for which I do not appear to have a key. Where may I find that key?
There is a tiny area set into the ground that can only be reached by jumping down. There is a door with a note on it. I cannot open that door either, and do not have a key for it. Where may I find that key?
I have a key labeled "Tower Key," but cannot find a door upon which to use it. Where may I find that door?
I am playing on Medium (Thief, I believe) and simply would like to get to the city proper and on with the wonderful story. If none of the questions I have asked above will lead me there, I'd also like to know the simplest way to the other side.
Thanks for your help.
Well, you got the tower key so go to the entrance of the Namez house, and instead of heading to the left -> head to the right. Open the door, there's a sofa with a little table, and a locked door :cheeky:
Up there is another key, in a corner, which opens the door in the courtyard.
Then inside the burnt mansion, look for a key near the fallen beams, which opens the door with a knife on it
Finished :cheeky:
Thank you DRK, that will do the trick.
