I´ve got a technical problem too:
After I found the
cellar key
I was ported to some dungeon or something. I could look around a bit and nothing happend but I wanted to find
Namez statue
first and quick loaded the last savegame. Then I found the
statue
and went to the
cellar key
at once. But now after picking it up I will be ported but the game than crashes after 1 or 2 seconds back to Darkloader (CtD). I switched off all my graphical features (normaly I have 8xs AA on) and switched off the sound hardware acceleration and rebooted and all. But it crashes everytime i pick up the key although it hasn´t crashed the first time before the quickload.
Any ideas maybe?

 Curious bug, it never happened before, I don't understand it... Sorry but I can't really help you here :(
Normally, you can get the statue before and after the cellar key, there is no special order for completing the objectives... Oh and once you're teleported, just wait a little and look where the music comes from ;)
Been away for a while, so I started playing this mission just now. I noticed the music and -- it's got to be from Quake I !!!!:D Great atmosphere, BTW. Great job!

Hey, indeed I used some music from quake 1 in the first fm :cheeky:

So, any news on how the third episode is going, hmm ?

Congratulations DrK!! And thank you for a wonderful mission! I loved the textures and atmosphere, and I simply adored the use of quake I -- it set the tone for me perfectly: all that rot, corruption and lurking danger of that classic masterpiece :thumb:
What comes to loot, I was my usual miserable self, although I did get enough (just barely) to fulfill the expert loot requirement for both missions (without consulting the lootlists). For secrets I had to do some heavy consulting of this thread :)
As to the last secret of mission 2
(glyph), what threw me off for awhile was all this talk about non-KO'able guard
because I most certainly knocked out everybody in this mission but I did find the last secret as well :cheeky:
I also needed help in finding the key
in the courtyard
but after that I think I got DrK's key mindset :joke: figured out and had no problems with finding the other keys. I couldn't spot
the ladder in Tunnel 21 either, and the glyph that opened the sect's hideway
but other than that, it was pretty clear sailing (excect for a mild heart attack (or was it severe?) in mission 1
All in all, a wonderful and exciting mission, truly elegant. Thank you, and I hope you'll find time to design more missions!

Thanks a lot, for the compliments and for enjoying my fms :D

Hey that's good news, I thought they were impossible to find, good job :D
I know about the ladder, I didn't mean to hide it : I never realised the texture could make it invisible...

About time to design more missions, well I'll try my best. You can see screenshots from the next part in my post above yours ;)

Great FM.
The zombie scene near the end was very reminiscent of a Silent Hill type game.
Finding the keys proved to be my toughest challenge. Overall, a very interesting mission. Thanks!

They're both great missions, loved 'em despite the keyhunt. Did anyone else get this craving to get in the contaminated zone as quickly as possible? :D It was a refreshing change from plague areas long abandoned. The refugee scene was well made and felt so real.
A couple of quirks that I found: the sect's laboratory has very 'sticky' walls. I would often get snagged on them, especially in searching for the secret. Also, I had real difficulty in getting the required loot in the second mission, I managed 4300 on my own and I thought that I was thorough :(
