Hey everyone, back from work in another city without any access to internet. And I'll leave again until September... ;)
What a pleasure to come back and see these new comments ! Thanks guys !
Dlw6, that thing you're talking about will be explained in third part :cheeky:
About the transcriptions of conversations, sorry but I lost them, and I don't have enough time to redo them... :p
MrDuck and Random_taffer, thanks muchly for your compliments !
Biker, indeed it's quite a pleasure to see my fms are still played that much after a few months (and your voice to be heard as many times... taffer !) Happy me :D
And don't talk to me about timetable :cheeky: Whatever I say I'm always late. I didn't have much time recently, it's been a while I didn't advance at DromEd. But I worked on textures, voices, musics, the story... I'm trying to improve what I did with the last fms, and it takes time ;)
But I think next Christmas will be a good time to release it after all... :cheeky:

Xmas 2007..?
DrK: Have you seen the screenies of Slipnots new FM, this is the standard now dude, your FM's set a benchmark, and he has just gone and raised the bar...!!!

Indeed I already saw them, and it's incredible. The thing is I know how to do these kind of archways, but it costs too many brush and cells... DromEd already suffers like hell with my third fm, I don't even know if I'll be able to build the whole level I planned to do... so I can't build archways like these (Sliptip is quite a talented builder...).
Still, I'm planning to work on custom objects and all, so I could create something as immersive as this fm looks like (even if that's not the same background, I'm working on darkness, not sunshine...). ;)

Wow...more inmersive FMs from you?, as if they weren't already incredibly inmersive I must say :).
Just, one small suggestion....background music: keep it in the background :D
It was great, but sometimes made it hard to listen properly to convos and other noises :(.
But I'll have to sa your FMs have a very deep level of inmersion, cheers! :)

have tried to find where
the key is to the door in the inn in the main downstairs room with the bar. i think it is the celler? i also still need to find the heart so i guess it is down there or via the gylphs i read about in the posts. Can anybody help? Congrats to author great FM so far.
Sir Lance
You'll find the key and the Soul heart in the sect compound called the Laboratory. It's located in the second part of the city : you have to cross tunnel 21, and then once you're out find the black market near the canal, where the glyphs which open its entrance can be found.
lol problems with keys are beginning :cheeky:
There is a key somewhere in the canal, and another one in the Lord Namez courtyard, under bushes and wooden stairs.
Once you're in Namez quarters, find and read his diary, there are clues for other keys ;)
I'm playing this mission and really loving it, but the way the keys were hidden is sadistically dubious. Seriously, there are thousands of niches in this FM - what would make me think to purposely look in those two locations above all others? I read everything I could find and nowhere is an "oops, I lost my key by the..." to be found.

Guess what ? You must be the 30th person to tell me that :cheeky:
Again, these were my very first fms, so there are a few troubles here and there about the gameplay, mainly with the keyhunt in the first part. Keys are oddly placed because Namez is insane (read his diary), but I know the way I placed them is too difficult. :(
Bah whatever, 3rd part won't be that harsh I hope :p

The keyhunt in the first mission is my only complaint. I think you can hide keys like that, but have hints as to their location. I thoroughly enjoyed it otherwise. I love the atmosphere, the sounds, the premise, the architecture, and just the general gameplay design overall is pretty spot on. I especially enjoyed the readables.
I'm on the second mission now and it's easily the scariest FM I've ever played. I had a helluva time finding that second ladder in the sewers though. I think if it reached straight down to the ground that I would've spotted it earlier.
The two FM's together remind me of a George Romero movie. Absolutely my favorite movie director. I can't help but think of 'Land of the Dead' while playing this.
