Well trust me you can wait, I barely finished the architecture of third part. Now I'm adding life to the level, then I'll work on the vids, voices, objectives...
Don't expect it before a few months ;)
Few months? Too bad :(
But I'm sure it will be a great mission more than first and second. In first mission, after taking the key in the burned house, ....! it was like a really nightmare. I want more and MORE horror themes:)

answers directly to my confusion. I have now read pretty much every post and copied the more important parts into a .txt document for later referrals so I don't have to try and sort through this very lengthly thread again.
I know there have been some answers given but they are not clear enough for my purpose to really know exactly where to look...key for Tunnel 21 again? I know where door is but I just don't know where to find the darn key. I've been out both gates from Safe zone and have done some limited exploring and bashing a couple of heads...to now make my way clearer for return visits...but since that's not doing me much good at the moment I've come here to get some specific help. Out the first locked gate...I've been up ladder..in pirate room, up other ladder saw body and over outside to note Hammerite girl, haven't put her lights out yet...looked over the other side of wall and saw body across overhanging on rail..is that one of the keepers I have to retrieve or not? Went back out the way I came into room and jumped over to other building to see what was what...saw cell room with blood etc. but figured pretty much I wouldn't be able to get back to original building and so when I tried I fell, guard still active at that time and I died. I had my reload before jump attempt so nothing really lost.
On successive load...I went back into area and Bj'd all three guards down on street level and jumped into well for small loot take. I don't know what to do about RobboBot below if I have to get into that area...I don't know what good it would do to put out fire (yes I know there's a fire arrow to be had there) since the area has a fair amount of light anyway. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tackle getting down there from room above where I found dead body...as in if I drop over the side of that wall onto catwalk and around building looks like another one-way trip as I see no ladder down to next level below where there is one and goes to the ground...of course I see all the ladders that lead up to body overhanging railing but again RobboBot might be a very difficult thing to get around and particularily if I have to manage a body as well?
Sorry for this long disertation but I really need to explain where I'm at and why I'm so unsure about some things. I also still do not have or know exactly where to find the darn sword. Vague (at least to me) limited info has been given on this...Ok the courtyard...is this the same area where I've been referring to about RobboBot, cause someone wrote earlier, they bopped some storekeeper on the head in the Thieves Den to get it? I don't understand where that's to be found either. Maybe that all has to do with Tunnel 21 and gaining access to this place from there?
Now here comes the next part of my story...I have also been out the other locked gate from Safety zone...the one you seem to advise ppl to use by the swamp girl...not sure why but I explored that area somewhat...knocked out the Hammer guy that comes into that area below but there's a lamp guy that is still running loose inside. I have been up the other long ladder to topside and can see Hammergirl again from this otherside...would be easier to BJ her from original side as it's darker where I would have a much better opportunity to do so. OK...can't do much from up this side so went back down and after some trepidation (hah lots of it) I ventured inside building where lampguy patrols and saw the small room to the left with a Hammerguy further back...went out and made a mad dash around to get a feel for the layout and found a locked door at bottom of stairs...didn't try to pick and probably couldn't anyway (have feeling key needed) but lampguy came out from above so ran out as fast as my little Garrett would travel and got back outside safely.
So that's where I'm at and not sure where I need to go/to do what next. Of course I need sword, key(s) and which areas of these that I've looked around a bit will get me what I need to find my total ways to...and I hope one of them isn't that guy up on railing...cause that really is a difficult act to perform and get him back to wherever room he would need to go...or maybe he isn't one of the Keepers I have to find anyway?
So if you please someone..please give me clarifications as I really don't know where/what to do next (as some earlier posters exclaimed)? Thank you I hope for understanding my poor beleagured head and post. :)

hooOOooly shit that's long ! :cheeky:
Okay, first point : the sword, thieves den (black market in fact) and keepers to be saved are after the tunnel 21.
Second : the aera near the robot and fire arrow has nothing particular, only the fire arrow and a gemring in the water. Tis' more like a gameplay challenge than anything else.
Third : the key to Tunnel 21 can be found in the mechanist warehouse (the big black building full of mechanists, including the one with the lamp). It's at the highest floor, near the female mechanist patrolling : check on a desk. You can manage to get up there by blackjacking the 2 workers in the 1st floor while the lamp guy is upstairs, then once the path is clear find a way to get rid of that lamp guy (he doesn't have a random patrol, he follows a particular way). And then, go upstairs and get rid of the miss.
OR you climb the ladder to the female mechanist, find a way to sneak past her/make her sleep, and top floor is yours :cheeky:
Btw, the door locked in the first floor leads to the robot aera ;)
Don't hesitate to have a walk on the roofs in the safety zone :D
The Fire Eater on 4/12/2006 at 19:10
Well I have done some traveling up on/in roof areas of Safety Zone all but the one where you can use rope arrow heading towards guard/citizen approaching that spot? However, what's with those ppl downstairs and the guy with a sword? I've tried a couple of times in different spots to put out their campfire but each time have had bad results one way or another. Is there anything of importance to do down there? I haven't seen anything that would be otherwise.
You didn't say anthing about man hanging over railing above with all the ladders leading up to? Is there anything to do about him or not? What purpose were those ladders for anyway? Is there any other reason I should climb up there for? :D
Thieves Den...Apparently you can only get to Black Market area through Tunnel 21 then and no other entry? OKkie dokkie :p LOL...thanks muchly and I'll give it a try to carry onward ;)

OK...I understand where the "live" keeper is to be found...went up there earlier but when I tried to highlight him to see if he was the legit keeper, he didn't seem to so I assumed he was one of the "dead" ppl and left him at that time. No problem to go back later and get.
However, my current frustration is where Archieves key I've been reading about, I have no idea. My game/computer shut down on me again so I have to redo a few things again but for the most part have gone around and thru most of this map, except finding the above and the stone/key 16.
I do not understand clue about cages against books? I cannot remember seeing that although I may have but cannot place it if so. I have been to the apt. upstairs you reach with the rope arrow and got the Crown...frobbed book on shelf, lights out, saw new body(?) that appeared on bed...got scared and went out door/balcony on otherside. Tried to jump to rope missed and fell. Small amount of damage so did not retry, just ate some apples, climbed back up to where I could retrieve arrow and dropped back down again.
Near one passage/stairway saw broken window but could not see how to get in as a jump over and into didn't seem possible and when I leaned to try and see in...only saw a wall of sorts on each side of narrow room area so did not attempt.
Got the other rope arrow up in chest near spiders, been in a small house near bodies in the cart..up chimney to get it, etc. Everyone except Guard at gate at top of incline and now guards again plus one water arrow in Bot are now up and moving again due to restart...that is to say guy next to Robbobot and the two guards above Thieves Den (Black Market where I got my sword etc.) so all the rest are resting with a slight bit of discomfort on their heads. :)
So I guess I need some pointed directions where I missed to get the rest of what I need to get moving again. By the way, I did get up to that secret room required by the multiple climbing of ladders...however when I tried to get over there from the other side via the walkover on banner...I could not get up to the other side. I really think that should have been made available for an alternate cross-over ILO of forced climbing of ladders. I truly felt forced into your way rather than being as open for an alternate way you offered in other situations. Still would have been a challenge to get there...since I'm playing the "hard" mode...this could have been offered and for the "expert" maybe just the other way only?
Anyway I shall be waiting anxiously for replies so I can continue my game. Thank you :)
First, did you find the sect compound ? The dead keeper, Soul heart, archives key and tunnel 13 key can be found there. Seek for a frobable glyph in the black market tunnels, near the canal access.

Once in the sect compound, go downstairs and pick the archives key on a member's belt. Then go to the second floor to find the archives room, use the key on a door and take the tunnel 13 key in a money box. (tunnel 13 key opens the door under the stairs in the hammered burrick inn). About the cages/books thingy, somewhere in the sect compound you'll meet the protective soul patrolling (a mage with purple hands), in this place there are 2 frobables books on the walls, in the middle of the other books. frobbing them open a cage below for the Soul heart, and a door at the bottom of the stairs which leads to the dead keeper.
That is a secret, nothing much except the scary effect which seems to have worked on you :cheeky:

Well it is possible to get in by this broken window, just find a way to improve your jumps ;) and once inside the small room, look above your head. :p

. Well IT IS an alternate way, once more just improve your jumps :cheeky:
I have to say I smiled when I read "I truly felt forced in your way" : that's the complete opposite of my gameplay work in these missions, I always tried to offer alternate ways to get to one point. In this place for example, you only saw the ladders, but you also could get to the secret room passing by the appartements at the east, or on the banner. And to get up there you could go by the "pirate banner" hideout aera, the ladders near the robot, through the mechanist building, or by the ladder which leads to the female mechanist patrolling. Keep your eyes open taffer ! :D

Thanks for the helpers DrK..just what I needed to carry on...no I guess I didn't get to the "sect" area as I didn't apparently didn't find/see a frobbable item to open another area...
As far as jumping...I'm actually fairly good at it...and I tried several times to get up and over ledge from banner...it was like I kept hitting an invisable wall. I tried various means of getting up and over..which shouldn't have been anything difficult at all..but no matter what way I tried, it would not let me get on top of ledge :(
Well I guess you could count another method via the the jump over from the other side of the deadman apt. to the balcony where you can actually go inside that other room with bloody cell, etc. and get up on that ledge and then try to jump over to deadman's railing area or something like that I guess you mean...but that really isn't a very practical means unless your a natural daretaker..which I'm not...LOL So I guess you see that as alternate way..OK fair enough, except I did get an invisable wall effect...I was able to get up from banner to warehouse side without problem other than making metal noise with feet if not done correctly first attempts...which then would have made unfortunate results from Bot or guards if still active! By the way on one of my attempts to get up on the other side, I did use a moss arrow on banner to eliminate noise when trying to get on top of ledge...finally fell over and into water..ha ha...reload!
I was simply trying to offer my result of the seemingly unattainable other way of getting over to secret room from the banner side by making it accessable rather than the invisable wall effect I was experiencing...ergo resulting in an alternate way. You however, seem to feel it was doable and therefore could not understand why I wasn't getting over onto it...just call it a misunderstanding of each others resulting experience with it. :erg:
So I guess it's time for me to try and find the way into the "sect's" compound. My mode of play only tells me to return "live" keeper although I thought from reading letter I would have to do both...I guess both is for the
"expert" mode of play? Thank you again very much for your help :)
The Fire Eater on 6/12/2006 at 09:25
I have been into sect areas now and everyone again is sleeping peacefully...I don't understand what's wrong in my getting the Soul Heart...I've got everything and done everything re: frobbing books etc. and when I went down to "cell" area I found one open as you said there would be...only I found myself outside on top of a very high rooftop overlooking the Safe area...HAH!
My save(s) are back inside of sect and now wondering what the heck I'm supposed to do now??? I also have not seen/found dead keeper. If he's supposed to be in a room on the same floor as the enclosed heart et al, the only door there is not openable. Apparently you must mean he's somewhere else, but in actuality it doesn't really matter to me unless I need to find him as part of my way of getting out this place?
With some of the equipment found with the Archives key (that was the Lab Room used with an Archive key?) I can only guess what I might be running into somewhere and I don't think it's going to make me very happy
By the way, I did jump over into broken window area and did what I had to do there... thanks for the surprises :D Had to eat a few more veggies :(
So how do I go about getting that doggone SH? Not sure how I'm going to retrieve live keeper now since my plans are not working out in the way I thought they would...figured I would be going back through the same way I got in and would be taking him with me on my way back enroute to final exit area after dropping him off first...?
So if you would be so kind as to give me a little more instruction...I'll be very happy to be able to complete this "trip" of yours ;) and a very interesting/challenging trip it has been and again very well executed. You are a little devilish aren't you? LOL
