Try uninstalling the mission and reinstall with DarkLoader, or perhaps ask potterr for the current beta of GarrettLoader and retry with this one. Maybe he's got an idea what's gone wrong, too.

This one had me stumped for hours...
(something good came of it though - my frantic search for new territory led me to find many more loot pieces)
You missed a ladder in the SE end of the tunnel system you have been in.

i cant see any mission objektives (got german version of thief2)
only have boxes in the mission screen
I have mentioned this in the Garrettloader thread, (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1779632#post1779632) here. There is a similar posting somewhere in that huge thread. Furthermore, I have had the same problem with two other
Thief 2 missions: Both work fine with Darkloader 4.3, but not with Garrettloader 1.41. It might be a problem with the mission which Darkloader corrects automatically, but Garrettloader does not. It might as well be some kind of bug in Garrettloader.
Whatever it is, it seems to be connected to Garrettloader, therefore everyone affected by this problem should look for answers in the Garrettloader thread. Click on the link above to go there.

Just started this, it's fantastic-looking. The ambient sound is way too loud though, specifically the theme you got from Quake 1 (why did you pick that song anyway?) Biker's webpage seems to have disappeared, so I had to use archive.org to get at his soundpatch. (edit: which appears to be broken anyway. :()
I do quite like the use of SH3 music though!
But I have An Issue™. Is it normal that I can't read the book or scroll in the locked room at the bottom of Garrett's apartment building?
[edit] Nevermind that, figured out not everything is readable. But there's another issue: is it just me or are the guards super sensitive? I've been detected when my crystal was nearly black! It's very irritating and unfun.

Didn't see this... :o
Yes, I'm aware of the loud sounds, it's one of the flaws of my first missions. I can't help you about the soundpatch, you should ask biker himself, if it's not uploaded somewhere he must have kept it on his hdd.
Also, the guards really are super sensitive. I never really managed to fix this problem, too many bugs involved in the missions. Unfortunately, there's nothing to make it better, just try to be a very good taffer... :sly:
Glad to see you enjoy the SH musics btw.
Anyway, the third mission is much more balanced. I hope you'll enjoy it better than the first missions. :)

Just finished Ink and Dust last night, and it is much more balanced. It's also HUGE- took me 4 hours gametime, not counting reloads.
You've done a bangup job. :thumb: Are you going to do an all-horror FM? Because I think an entire mission like the Dark Zone (or, because I'm a big SH fan, a twisted version of reality corrupted by the Dark Zone) would be fantastic. :D

Thanks :D

This is not planned for now. I have tons of ideas for the next missions, about how to make you "love" that game :ebil: . You will probably meet the Dark Zone again, however I didn't think about it yet.
At a moment I wanted to make some kind of a silent hill fm, but I think I'll never do it.
Because first, I think a whole mission like this will be too harsh, too heavy, not really enjoyable for players.
Second, the interest of the dark zone is that it's a corrupted universe in the middle of a "normal" mission, it finds its strengh from the difference between the 2 worlds (like any SH game).
Third, it will be a nightmare for me. Not because it scares me, but to work on this kind of horror is extremely difficult, you must catch and create that tension into dromed, and it can easily fail. The only way I knew the horror worked is when it actually worked on me : even though I created it and knew what had to happen, I felt unconfortable, was looking in my back everytime my cat made a sound or so... :cheeky:
Yay another SH fan :)

OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'm still in therapy from the last one :wot:

Yup, big-time SH fan (though I refuse to play anything past the 3rd.)
I dunno, you did some things I wasn't sure was possible with Thief, and I think a twisted mind like yours would create something truly creepy.
I've always been a fan of SH-style horror- the original terrified me back in 1999. I rarely play the games anymore as they no longer scare me, but that's okay, because I have the fantastic (
http://www.moddb.com/mods/afraid-of-monsters-dc) Afraid of Monsters to keep scaring me for a few years.
I hope you change your mind about doing an all-horror FM; there are those of us who
would play it! Hell, it doesn't even necessarily have to be part of the Rocksbourg series.
