I simply cannot get into the tavern without being spotted by that damned south-tower jail guard!
Whether I swim west along the main canal or south past the jail; even if I put out both torches on the wall on the north side of the main canal and also the torch by the tavern back door, no matter how slowly I creep or quickly I run, every damned time that same guard spots me and goes into the frustration dance.
Since I'm ghosting, that means that unless there is another way in, the tavern is off the list, along with the $425 in there. Or maybe more, if there's a secret; I didn't find one inside, but I did miss two, so who knows?
Is there anything in the tavern besides that loot? Is there a secret? Is there another objective? Is there any way in besides the canal route?
I only need $235 to clear the requirement, and I have 7 of 9 secrets. Does anyone have a list of secrets? I think I've been in every building, though I'm still not sure about the Collector Tower -- what's in there? Maybe I'll remember.
This is really frustrating. The architecture is great, and it's a good mission to ghost... but I'm soo-o-o-o-oooo close but not quite there...!
Any other caches of loot I may have missed? I got the jewelry store vault already, plus every secret mentioned in here (I found all except one of them on my own).
Thanks,
Dafydd

I went in the tavern's back door.
Go to where the 3 market stands are and rope arrow to the top of the north end stand. Then hop up onto the wall and follow it westward and you will arrive at the back of the tavern. You can also take out that pesky tower guard, then drop down to the tavern back door. Open the back door and take care of the guard with your sword when he tries to come at you through the door.
Thanks, LeBaron, but -- your sneaksie route got me to the grounds of the tavern nicely, but now I have the problem of the window: that same pesky guard is staring directly at it... and he sees me any time I try to go through. Even when I climbed up the side, dropped off onto the inch-wide ledge to the side of the window, then darted through, he still saw me and alerted!
I believe all the doors are locked and unpickable, so there's no way in but that way. This is maddening.
(I can't take out the guard because that would bust my ghost.)
Thanks, I'm closer... it's so tantalizing! But I'm stumped how to get inside any other way.

I think you're going to bust your ghost on this one, Dafydd. That is the only way in, as far as I know and this bit is not ghoster-friendly.

One secret and 325 loot left to go. Upstairs in the clinic,
there are two frobbable books in the bookcase. The one on the right doesn't do anything that I can discover.
What am I missing here?

Just another question: Is the acidic mixture or the steel plate of any use ?

@Dafydd - are you ghosters allowed to hack the door open?

Hi Uncadonego
That letter in the house next to the weapons smiths, may i ask is it based on real life? If it is Im very sorry for who evers son was run over, I cant imagine how that feels other than it gave me a sick feeling in my stomach and made me quite sad.
And Ffox`s fathers letter to him sounds like is also based on true life.
let me know.

Dafydd-don't give up! You ghosters always tell me to not think about ghosters when I make a mission, so I don't! Nightwalker even mentioned ghosters during beta, but I didn't change certain things because you ghosters say you don't want that. PM me with what you have and where you've been, and I'll let you know if you still have some potential loot that won't bust the ghost.
JACKofTrades-I simply forgot to write the readable for that book! Don't worry about it. ShadowWolf421 reminded me during beta, and I still forgot!
UliB-I was contemplating making the machines in the bridgehouse work, but changed my mind. I think in the next mission I'm making I will have working machines though.
Bikerdude-It's partly based on two real life experiences, but I just like to put one or two "human" readables in my missions for a couple of reasons. One is that the whole game shouldn't be exclusively about Garrett, because he is intruding on other peoples' lives, so it should be as much about them as him. Secondly, I just don't want it to be about mechanically running through the game to hear loot sounds and objective complete sounds. Some people don't like my long readables, but it's usually not necessary to read them for an objective.
LeBaron-you sneaky devil! You found a way out of the world! There's usually always somewhere the author overlooks. ;)

I'm slowly zeroing in on this one. 125 loot and 1 secret left to go. I went back and made a list of the Mixed Messages gang and then checked them off one by one. The only one I'm missing is
Arcus.
Someone give me a subtle hint where to look?
