I was picking up the tips, but I'm still unable to get far without getting attacked. I make it just before the garden area where the first body is and That's as far as I get.

If You Play on normal mode You should find scrolls on the ground that will give You directions to sneak and follow the safe path.

Believe me its not that hard once You know the right spots to stay under shadows.

Try to make a diversion using broadheads or use a noise arrow. Anything to distract them away from you, then run through.
