Just had to say that the quality of light in this FM is breathtaking! I feel as if I've been on holiday, strolling round Porto. Are the houses really all that elegant in Porto, Cardia?
Porto has some beautifull zones, but it has many decaying and grey areas and with the present crisis its getting difficult to preserve old buldings, many of this buldings have well detailed facades, something that will never be done again,
victorian houses are falling apart as well, only the most important are being preserved, still there is enough beautifull places for a turist to visit, like:
Palácio de cristal( pavilhão da Rosa mota), Avenida dos Aliados, Casa da musica, Sé do Porto, , Estação de São Bento, Torre dos Clérigos, Praça dos Leões, Rotunda da Boavista, Foz do Porto, Serralves, and other places, but honestly i would rather live in France, or Italy, or Spain or Germany, i haven´t been yet to England, but i hope someday to visit, i really would love to.

Just finished playing this and thought it was absolutely beautiful!
So refreshingly different, too. I was quite glad not to have to do any sneaking!.
In a way I thought it was a shame that you tried to tie it in to Thief by references to Garrett and the Keepers, etc. Especially considering all the other references to Assassin's Creed and Pepsi vending machines and stuff!
But I still thoroughly enjoyed a good two hours or so playing in those levels. Well done and thank you!

Just finished playing this one.
Fantastic architecture and I think you captured the atmosphere perfectly.
It's a shame that...
I appreciate that you intended this primarily as a work of art.
I started out loving it, but an hour of nose-to-the-floor coin hunting meant that I couldn't really take in the scenery. By the time I'd reached the target (on expert) I'd had enough!
Look forward to seeing more of this with some varied gameplay.:thumb:

Thanks, Since Garret has been tied in thief 2 to Art Deco, Victorian buildings and mechanists, then everything is possible, that´s why Thief 1 is my favourite, its the most pure concerning the medieval atmospheres and places that it has, after thief 2 all that medieval world has been transformed into a mix of eras, wich it killed all that medieval spirit that thief 1 and TDS have.
Also i got an habit from unofficial q3 arenas of mixing many kinds of styles from many cultural expression, like the simpsons mixed with some music you like a a castle with modern structures, decorated with modern photographies...etc.

I'm not sure that Thief 1 was ever truly medieval since it had electric lights and running water.;) However Thief in the hands of a dromeder is a ball of clay that can be shaped in a variety of interesting and intriguing forms by the artist using it.

Yeah I'd agree that even in The Dark Project the City was a huge blend of many elements which made it so much more than just boring old medieval...in fact I get quite annoyed when people say that the Thief games are set in medieval times, because they're not! They're set in a fantastical city which shares SOME medieval elements but is so much more than that.
But I absolutely loved all the pop culture stuff in your mission, cardia! It made a very refreshing change! (Now there's an endorsement for Pepsi if ever there was one!)

Just curious: is it a pure fantasy about flood in Porto (whenever) or real fact?

Thief 1 is something like quake 1 world, there is more medieval elements than modern elements present in these two games, that´s why from all thief games, thief 1 is the one who has more medieval elements, all is well balanced, the mix between, dark stone, rusty metal, old wood, with some rusty electrical mechanisms and lights are well mixed.
As for the flood is impossible to happen in Porto, has the ground is highly irregular.
