In my experience, this isn't really true, the NecroAge pack has some cloud textures which look like denser and more coloured clouds than the Thief 2 clouds, and they don't look square.

For those who are having trouble with the very dark picture that shows one of the book locations here is an outright spoiler....go back into the prison area where the lockers are and turn back around, next to the archway there are those two lit openings in the walls, one on the left and one on the right...look in the right one, the book is there.

The Enhancement Pack (EP) is installed by default doing Tafferpatcher's install. However, you can just unclick that pre-selected box. To uninstall it, just run tafferpatcher again, and unclick Enhancement Pack and finish. I also removed the enhanced water and sky just in case. I really don't see much different with it on or off. Also, I have played Pedro's (cardia1) other FMs with no worries with EP active. His screen shots above are not representative to what I see on my system, so it looks like different video cards, drivers, and even versions of Windows may be the culprit.
I played most of the first episode of Religious Conflict with EP on and had no issues with visuals at all. For instance, the water color paintings were fine. I turned it off to play the second mission though, just to be safe.

Bjack...what you have just said about EP is about all I know about it....what I would really like to know is what does it actually do to the look of the mission, how does it enhance the mission....textures, water, graphics....was there not also at some time a sound enhancement patch ?
I may well start a new thread entirely on this matter as I risk taking this thread widely off topic

Your missions indeed look much less gorgeous with the stereotypical EP objects. But why the heck do we have to put up with those old and ugly loot objects (hexagonal coinstacks, and the like) in exchange? Couldn't you just replace them either with the EP models - or perhaps with your own ones:cool:?

does the EP patch included enhanced sounds? if so that could also replace the sounds i use and thus having players not figuring out what to do in the skulls area.
i have played my mission with EP patch and i have noticed some textures being replaced as well as floating objects. This new mission doesn't use any thief 2 sky, its new skybox textures without animation, so no worries about that.
But i did play some other missions and i din't like the new enhanced sky animations textures, they were square, regardelss your videocard.

Csamba i can't see the pictures above.
I still like Thief 2 objects and i only replace their textures when i want a certain object to fit in with the surroundings

Sounds: I only use NecroAge for the original game (and for many FM's which tolerate - and indeed look much better with - it). To my best knowledge it does not contain any sound replacement.

i use thief 2 sounds replaced in my fms, are you sure NecroPatch won't replace the new sounds used in fms?
