near the market place you will find a tavern called "Frederik´s Tavern" inside there is a servant sitting next to a table, read his diary and then the key next to the diary will become available, this key opens the door to the Mansion you want to enter

I'm definitely stuck. The 4th talisman vanished. Thought it would appear somewhere after the purple devil was slain, but can't find it.

what version are you playing?

to reach the Purple Trickster type creature you had to frob the 4th Talisman(Death) Talisman

I"m playing 1.0. Guess I got the wrong version. Though I didn't have a problem with the book. If I can't finish the mission because of a glitch, then I won't be doing it. I agree that the 2nd mission was really well designed. Some puzzles were confusing to solve like a few people said, especially the smoke guys.

I think the hardest thing about the "scavenger" hunt for all those different items and secret locations is the size of the mission itself. I was only missing 2 books, but was going to look at the list and see which I was missing and where it was.

My suggestion is if you can edit earlier posts, erase the 1.0 download itself.

for those who find the second mission hard try lower difficult levels, "normal" mode is much more accessible.

This is the only version I've ever had. Is the version I have the most up to date?

The talisman was sitting by the elevator on the pedestal. When I finished the other 3 talismans, I went back and the elevator was usable and the talisman was gone.

I went back to an earlier save and tried it again. The first time, I got all 3 talismans before going down in the elevator. This time I put a talisman before getting a 2nd. Same thing happened. I guess I can't finish this. Hope you work out the bug. Am I the only person to do this?

I have been searching for a way into the tavern near Marissa's house, and the castle door - the one with the tavern sign and all the tavern chat. I haven't found a tavern with any people after circling the marketplace many times to find what I might have missed.

Here is what I thought was the tavern:

This is the tavern you're supposed to enter:

You're supposed to turn left from where you face the market upon entering it and look around there.
