The Gold Chalice objective should be optional, since the player can screw up the glyph order out of confusion. When you shoot all 4 glyphs, regardless of order, a SFX (m10buzz.wav) plays, indicating success.
The only way to get around all of this is to NOT shoot any glyphs until the end. But this would only cause the player more grief by having to retrace his/her steps to find the things.
Terry you don´t have to shoot the glyphs, the glyphs appear only after you put all six stones to rest. and the book you mention indicates their order to press the glyphs in the right order in the chalice room

That clarifies things. The book in the library should be re-written if you plan on an update. I'll help you on that.
