I don't agree that using a walktrough is cheating, if i were to quit a game every time i get stuck that would be a waste of time and money for me, first time i played thief dark project i got stuck in the haunted cathedral mission, it was around 2001 i played this game and my English wasn't that very good so i couldn't understand what the eye voice was saying, result i spent hours in that mission running in circles, i didn't have internet back then to check for walktroughts , had to use the school library pc that had internet, and found a walktrought saying what the eye stone voice is saying and i then understood what i need to do to progress in the game. But if i had quit he game back then i would never have the pleasure to experience the following missions and complete the game, and i would have forgotten Thief and probably given it to someone else, and by consequence i would never be part of this community .
If you are playing this mission in the version 1.6 you will complete easier the loot goals. Other tips i can give is use brightness at max to see clearer spots you might have missed, the mission is not that big, so it shouldn't be that hard to find enough loot you need to compete the first part. check secret levers in small rooms.
You will come across alot of good mission where you eventually get stuck. Everyone get stuck in some mission. Players of more persistence, patient and perspicacity are less likely to get stuck, but even those sometimes get stuck in some games and missions.

HELP!!!
I'm replaying this great mission and am at the Four Horsemen area in part 2.
I've got the four talismans and there is a lid moving from the elevator part, but the glass deck is still here, so now I can move the elevator, but I myself can't get onto the elevator.
Very starnge.
I already had to reload a former safe, before the fourth death talisman was gone from it's pillar, when I got the third talisman.
