T2 MISSION : "The lost Castle" Feb. 02/09 - by Cardia

Well, I tested this mission also and after at least a dozen times through it I have yet to find a rope arrow. So I don't think there is one.
The first time I played it I was also wishing for more water arrows :laff: but the second time through I realized that it is very possible to make it through without them. There are very strategically placed shadows and columns which make it easy to get by unseen and the large open spaces actually make it easy too. The guards do not notice you if you are far away, even if you are out in the open and lit. The guard patrols are also in your favor. The layout of the castle and the guard patrols were very well thought out actually to make it possible to get by with limited supplies. It does take some time though.
I was able to ghost the entire mission eventually, without using any consumables except one water arrow to dowse the fire in a fireplace.

No way his comment will make any change on me, i had enough of that useless comments:) :D
Got a PM from a friend that explained to me some of the comments you've had to deal with in the past and helped show both sides of the story - so I stand corrected my friend. I understand your point ;)
Probably a better way to address it than calling someone a newbie when they arent insulting you but are actually just expressing concerns they had - but everyone deals with things differently I suppose.
I do hope you continue on the path you began with The Lost Castle - it really is a joy to play and I look forward to your future missions.

Not everyone has the same sensibility for Arts:)
I am sorry if I hurt your ego. It was nothing personal.
It was a very pretty mission and well made. I liked the puzzle and there were certainly enough arrows to waste away at the end. Gameplay for me became little bit monotonous. One end of the castle was basically a repeat of the other.
When I release a mission you can criticize my mission as much as you want. Personal attacks are just indicators of some deep rooted problems the attacker has with his/her own personal life.

Yeah right, i don´t know how will your mission be, but i´m not the kind of person of criticising, so don´t expect any comment from me.
"One end of the Castle was basically a repeat of the other", wrong both are similiar, but not a reflection of a mirror, and it fits well to balance the design harmony.

I thouroughly enjoyed The Lost Castle. The castle is beautiful. Thank you for dedicating such a cool level to me, Pedro! :thumb:
Though it did feel funny to blackjack myself!

I'm really impressed with the amount of care given to lighting in this mission too - The hard light areas were really well done. It truly felt like the sun was shining through the windows into the castle. A blue sky may have worked a bit better, but the lighting throughout was really impressive.

I'm glad for this response Pedro.
I consider you a friend and you never offended me. ;)
This being said:
I tested this FM (not untill the very end, I'm afraid, because of a technical problem), but I never found a rope arrow, so I guess that ladder up there is a decoy. :ebil::cheeky:
I hope to betatest your next one quit soon Pedro
Gloria Creep
I was planning to place ropes, but to avoid bugs i didn´t place them, but if i ever update this mission i might rethink about placing ropes.
I´ll be glad to have you always as my betatester:thumb:
