Yep, just finished playing 'Framed'. Flash Bombs do work fine so i must have gotten the angle wrong ^_^
Oh, I have noticed sometimes Guards just catch sight of me (host) and then go after the Client who isn't anywhere near. Or atlest, appear to run after Client..
Oh and sorry for buggin about things: Once i dropped the safebox in Hagans office, it completed the level with the Final 'Get Out' objective marked as failed... I don't remember this happening in the game itself so... any ideas?

Dont call me a retard or anything but I think I am, because I dont seem to be able to play with other players o_O there is like nobody. And I think its coz Im just playing the normal thief 2, but I downloaded all the stuff, visited the webpage and so on, there's no way to register, log on to some special feature or anything. I just cant seem to understand what the problem is since there is also no instructions or anything on how to use the stuff ^_^
and, did you make sure no guard saw you when you dropped the box? Garret says it himself "The blueskirts shouldn't get the idea of me being involved in this."

Yes, there is a readme file... but failing that, all you have to do is alt tab from the game and the new window should be there (of course, after having put the files in your thief 2 install.)

Another Day, Another play
Played Ambushed! today and acouple of little bugs turned up:
1- I made a stupid mistake (i fell out of a window ¬_¬) and got into a sword fight. I hit the guard with my sword a couple of times, flash bombed and then knocked out the guy and where the Guy's body was, there was a sword floating in mid air.. that i could pick up.. Somehow, i seamed to have dropped my sword in the act
2- I think this bug has come up all but 1 time, the client could turn out touches with water arrows. the one time, it went out for me (Host) but not for the client even though it was the Client that fired the arrow
3- Again, probebly known but for some reason, one knocked out guard that was knocked out by the client, i couldn't pick up, but i could pick up everyone else.

I figured out a bug myself ~.~ I was playing the map Cargo and I threw a spying ball thingi (sorry I dont know the english name since my game is in german ~.~) and a guard came buy and started hitting it. As he was doing so I lost HP everytime he hit the ball... xD
And I have a question, is the game online or via Lan/TCP IP connection? o_O I cant seem to find any games when i look for them

The "infinite loot" bug is a known problem. I haven't had any success so far in figuring out how to fix this (the problem actually affects much more than loot) -- the game is pretty much hosed once this happens unless you save and reload, which usually fixes it.
I'll look into the loadout screen problem. Extinguishable objects were made client-side only in one of the first few updates in order to fix a bug that caused part of the flame effect to remain on doused torches for clients, and this is what's causing the lack of synchronization that you and someone else here pointed out. If I figure out a better solution for that problem, I'll make the objects hosted again.

Control of the AIs can be handed off to other players during the course of normal gameplay, so that might be why you saw them moving oddly when you were hosting. The movement/latency problems are due to the limitations of the Dark engine's network code, and I haven't had much luck in improving it yet. The biggest problem with AI movements actually is that I had to disable movement prediction for them in order to fix a nasty bug, which is part of why they do not move as smoothly as other players do.
Also: sorry for the lack of updates. I've been extremely busy with some other things lately, and haven't had any time to work on Thief MP at all. I'd intended to at least test and release what I'd done so far on the current build (which includes the map/book overlays as well as a few other enhancements and bug fixes), but I seem to not be getting around to it...
I'll try and get that done soon, but updates may be few and far between for a while after that. I'm definitely not done with Thief MP and will be getting back to it, but you probably shouldn't expect much for another month at least.
