That's a good point, but my theory is that it's related to the client body thing. But I really can't say. Perhaps Tos could comment.

Perhaps when a client KO's a NPC, they become static geometry, much like a table, and that property may be given to all things linked to it through some odd form of inheritance.

I believe the problem with pickpocketing is caused by control of AIs transferring from one player to another (they transfer to whoever they're currently attacking). If they never transfer, you *should* be able to pickpocket them. I'm not totally certain about this, but I know that pick pocketing does work at least part of the time.
The problem with the lift in Running Interference was covered in the known issues. Certain types of elevator switches just don't work in multiplayer, and I don't know why yet.
Warping through walls is going to happen occasionally even on a LAN due to problems with the Dark engine's net code that are currently beyond my control. I plan to eventually rewrite the problem areas entirely, but that will be a major undertaking without the source code.

Wow... beautiful. I never thought I'd see the day.
Kudos, good sirs and madams. Thief multiplayer!
(And now back to your regularly scheduled and putatively more productive discussions)

Has anyone managed to summon AI? Had a go at spidey7 and RobotSPJ but it didn't do anything - though as someone else said in the thread ladders work fine :laff::D
Of course maybe it's not possible, but where's the fun in thief 2 mp if you cant summon a huge mech beast behind your friends backs..... :ebil:

Are you sure that you are writing the AI's correct names and cheating is enabled?
I've never heard about "spidey7" and "RobotSPJ", try "HugeSpider" and "CombatBot" instead.
*Write a note to myself about NEVER playing with you without cheating disabled *

I figured i'd find the names for summoning stuff in the crf files, so I was summoning by the names I found in the crfs, i presume robotspj is the spider bot, and spidey7 is a standard spider ai, but since it spawned nothing I decided to ask.
