Hmm... Well it's really hard to see, and it's hard to determine based on that video. I see that you (or he?) got thief to crash though. First off, can you(or him) play thief normally in singleplayer? if so, it's probably an issue with multiplayer then - in which case we will need Tos to help figure it out.
My friend have this problem and yes, he can play thief normally, but when we try to connect each other, appear that error.
Tos, I'll inform him about your submitting and I guess he shall has that folder, because I inspect my thief folder and I haven't it, probably because my thief run good?:erg: Anyway, we'll se all this at evening, because now I need to go. By.

I forgot to tell you something important: he has a new computer with a dual-core processor and a new videocard, and probably that error can provide from new system.

Yes, but if he can play thief in singleplayer without crashing then that is not a problem. If he's crashing in multiplayer, it's most likely due to an incompatibility between you two or some other unknown thing, which is why Tos needs that crash log file, if there is one.

It looks like your friend is crashing because the game was unable to load the mission file. I'm not seeing anything in the log to suggest that Thief MP is at fault yet, so I'd recommend a clean reinstall of the game before trying anything else at this point.

It isn't that, because indifferent he's connecting with me or not, when he make the host and try to enter in the mission through MP, thief just crashing.

I think I found the problem. You should have your friend set the processor affinity for the program; Thief pretty much refuses to run on more than 1 core.

Yes, but I had ruled that out because he said his friend could play thief in singleplayer. That's why I thought it was a multiplayer specific crash.

Ya never know, software can be very very finnicky if and when it damn well pleases. Its almost like the computers have minds of their own, ain't it?

Yes, a think this is the real problem, because I said, when he try to enter in the first mission "Running Interference" through MP, the game crash and appear this warning:
"
Thief2: The Metal Age has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for inconvenience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
For more information about this error, click here.
Debug Close."
I reproduced this because sNeaksie said it's hard to see and determinate the bug based on that video. Hei, but the video has there an option that offer you to enlarge the window of movie to fullscreen, and then you cand read what is write in the warning. Take this like an advice, not a reprimand ;).

Something of this. Sometimes the computer give errors or bugs like this, without to know the real cause.

That's a generic crash message, and I've seen it before so no need to explain.:)
That said, because it is a generic crash message it could either be MP's fault, or not. Since your friend has a dual core, have him disable the second core for thief. There are multiple ways to force thief to run on one core. Please check (
http://ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113689) here if need be. If the game runs after this then we know it wasn't MP's fault.
