How far have those things been documented which worked better in version 205 e.g. playing with more than three people...? We've had a couple of glitches but after rolling back to 205 we were able to play one of the Vertical Contest missions with four players and basically without any (connection/freeze/etc.) problems.

Well, its good to see you haven't just fallen off the face of the Earth ere, Tos! :cheeky:
I got a basic grasp of assembly, and I'm intuitive enough to know what does what in most languages. I may not be the best candidate, hell, maybe not even 5th best, but it'd be a definite learning experience.

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and Thief multiplayer, but not to Thief! Can someone give me information about how to go about playing with others? I checked on the global server in the multiplayer chat box, yet I can never get anyone. I guess there aren't too many sneaksie man-thiefs running around at this time of night?

Welcome to the forums, Taffer! :thumb:
I would recommend you to check the (

Hi Taffer Burger. Well, unfortunately, I don't think a lot of people play... Also, it seems that no one has a server set up 24/7, so you have to just get in contact with somebody here on the forums as seventyfour showed you, and set a game up.

I was never able to figure that out unfortunately. As I recall, I hosted a game on my main computer and connected with 3 clients from another computer on build 210 and had no issues. I can give it another try before releasing 211, but if I can't get it to happen here there isn't much hope of fixing it.

Hi! Congrats to your mod! I would like to ask somthings:
- When will you release the newest version of T2 multiplayer?
- I like to modelling in 3D, and if its possible, I would like to remodelling the Thief2 models in Milkshape. Can you give some tips about it?
- Can you fix the corpse-transfer-bug? (the 2nd player doesn't see when the 1st player is taking and transfer the corpse. He see only that the corpse is stay on his place until the other player take it to other place)
Sorry for my bad english

At that time I guess it is suggestive to complete the Multiplayer Modification with additional models and animations, which are currently missing (e.g. the swim-motion).
So... why Tos is not going to hire some professional assistance, is he? ;) As we know, he is doing his job as coder very well, maybe a third party could assist him with other aspects of the T2MP and... speed up the development.

Vort helped him in the past, Tos is busy, as he (

posted above, and he'll do what he can when he can. Anybody that wants to get in and help is free to, I'm sure. Just about all the coders here know about this but have major projects of their own.:)

It's damn hard committing to something that you don't get paid to do. Especially if you've got other things to worry about.
And I know, because I've struggled with motivation to do stuff.
Deep down, I have a feeling that it's not just that Tos is busy, it's that he doesn't really see any real benefit from working further on the patch. Sorry to say that, and I also am sorry to say if I put words into his mouth. Feel free to correct me.
