We had a few starting problems that were caused by differences in the motion.db and the mission file itself between server and clients, so I recommend to include a check on these files, too.
Good suggestion, I'll add that to the next version.
As for getting the widescreen patch to work with multiplayer, all you should need to do is install the multiplayer patch and then run ddfix's GUI patcher afterwards. You can also use the .ini setting that Child of Karras mentioned, but it's not necessary.

Oh, a threesome sounds so good. Just think at the happy people running about and flailing their blackjacks at each other.

I actually have no idea what's going on with 3+ player games right now. Some testing I did a few weeks ago revealed that it's been semi-broken for a while now -- whatever's wrong with it wasn't introduced by build 210 as I'd originally thought. I was too busy to figure it out last week, but I'll have some time to devote to T2 MP this weekend.
One other thing that I'm hoping to add in the next version is a multiplayer "staging" screen where players can chat before the mission is loaded and view game options. Here's a screenshot of the current version (a bit unpolished, but it gets the point across):

Looks good to me.

The objective and map overlays look extremely interesting. I have no interest in multiplayer, but I'm wondering if it's possible to make use of those features in single player? Just eliminating the annoying resolution change delay when bringing up the map would make the single player experience a good bit more enjoyable.
Please forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I skimmed the entire thread and didn't see any mention of the possibility.

Hi!
First of all, thanks for this update and thans for that you work on this MP mod!
I didn't the newest version yet, but have 2 questions:
- will be possible to connect into an allready started multiplayer game?
- I use a hungarian translated version of the game, but in this way the other clients (with english lang) cannot connect, becuse I use different (the translated) files. This modified files are text files only, I use same map files. Is it possible to fix that the program doesn't check this text files during connection?
Thank you!

No, you cannot connect to a running game session.
