Is there a Thief 2 Multiplayer Deathmatch (which goes along the lines of 1996 Quake Deathmatch)? I think it would be cool that other Garret players would be invisible depending on their light crystal. Just as how the AI guards see/detect in single-player. If a player is in the dark he will be invisible to all. If someone approaches near then the player will be visible (only to the eyes of nearby).
The deathmatch weapons would stay the same as single player weapons. I think it would be funny seeing Garrets running around trying to bludgeon other Garrets. The fire arrow would be a 1-hit kill. Gas arrow? Knocked out? probably same as kill. Then player respawns at random location elsewhere in map. Picked up gold would be dropped upon death, and picked up again by other players.
The deathmatch should fair well for beginners as you can't run and aim/shoot (Garret slows down whilst aiming).
Players can use stealth and sound of foot steps to locate/hid tactics.

No, but there is a Unreal Tournament mod for Thief called Thievery UT.

I made an FM kind of like that but versus NPCs and not other players.
Monster Arena at the top, on my FM website:

And technically, kind of what you describe can be done today with T2 Multiplayer. You just have to allow damage by other players in the settings. There's a setting about keeping loot on death too, if memory serves. So actually, you could kind of do this in any missions, except for you'd have to contend with NPCs getting in the way.

Hello,
Hope everyone's fine!
Don't know why, but these last few days I wanted to play the Multiplayer Mod, and my partner is invisible to me.
I can see only the tag user and it only moves for me (To my partner, the tag stands static), there are interactions for us over the missions but there's no interactions between each other.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

I realize I'm replying to a really old post but in case you're still looking for a response: You're replying to the thread for the old Thief 2 multiplayer from Tos. This thread is not for NewDark. Confusing, I know, considering the thread title isn't clear. (But this thread was started long before NewDark added multiplayer.)
That being said, switching to discussion about the NewDark multiplayer: I just tested it on mine and I had some problems as well. Mainly the tag didn't move around and could not see the other player, there was no sound on the client machine for guards, and the guards could also not see the client. I could attack a guard as the client computer and he would not react at all. :( I don't know if this is a known problem with the multiplayer, or with my setup.

Been a while.
I've gotten the multiplayer Build 218 working well enough for me and some friends to play the OMs, but when I try to play a FM it doesn't seem to recognize it, defaulting instead to the OM. I use FMSel to load the FM and it works fine when starting from Steam, but if I use the single player or multiplayer executable in the game's install directory, it goes straight to the OMs. I imagine the problem is simply that the in-folder executables doesn't know to point at the FM files, but I don't know how to fix that. There's nothing like the FMSel window for the multiplayer game, you just host and go. Is there something I'm missing?

Does anyone know if cheating is still possible? I felt like the /s command would be helpful with buggy missions.
