Fog is completely broken in Vista, despite DDFix and all that. I'm in the same boat and hope someone figures out a way to fix it soon.

Wow, this is going to sound silly but I have never seen fogging before. I always turn it on but have never seen anything like this, I might have to mess around with it a bit to see what's up. Do all the maps have fog or is it just a few?

Only some levels had fog. Most notably Life of the Party and Precious Cargo. Play the game under XP with DDfix and don't forget to enable it from the options menu.

I think Bikerdude has tested Win7 Beta and it was still broken like in Vista.

wasn't fog *always* broken in Vista (and up), no matter the graphics chip (or it works till 1st going to menu/scroll etc)?

It's never worked at all from what I understand.

Life of the Party had fog??
Damn.

Fog works for me on Vista 32, but partially. When I start the game on a fogged mission, e.g. Life of the Party, the game shows normal fogging though and though. But as soon as I do anything like, reading a scroll, loading a save, exiting to the menu or ALT + TAB, the fogging disappears compleately. From that point I'll have to exit the whole game and load my game again to have fog.
It is interesting that with an Nvidia card i had serious problems activating the fog at all, but now with an ATI HD 4800 series card I experience the above. I use Vista 32 and start the game with DDFix.
To all those who hadn't notice fog in T2:In T2 I can remember that "Life of the Party", "Precious Cargo" and "Masks" had fogging. But note that not only some of the cannon missions in T2 have fogging, but some fan missions use it as well. I can recall "Gathering at the Inn" from CoSaS and the first mission of Calendra's Legacy.

Well Thief13, the first time I played Life of the Party I did it on Windows 98 with fog on and I though it was a daytime mission all the way to the point I installed Windows XP and Fogging got problematic. The fog on that mission changes the skyline noticeably. On Masks the fog is not a big deal, but on Precious Cargo you couldn't see the top of the Lighthouse from below, as well as now you can see some nasty map bugs without the fog.
