Sorry, but what I meant was Catalyst Control Center. :cheeky:
I have an ATI card, so that was the first thing I thought. But then I felt dumb when jtr posted his link. Now...:cheeky:;)
I guess I'm not as dumb as I thought! LOL
Luv ya, jtr! And I did learn something new, so thanks!

Another vote of confidence! Biker, you had any luck yet mate?
I will get around to testing this on the pc in the front room, but does anyone know of a utility that will do this on nVidia cards

Just one little question about fog (and I don't want to start an extra thread for it): does the fog limit only your visuals or does it also inhibit the line of sight of the NPCs?
Personally, I only played a couple of missions with fog, but it's not something I needed or liked all that much. Similar to the discussion about NPC shadows in Thief 1 - just another of the things I couldn't care less about (I was always more about (working)game mechanics and less about simple eye candy).

Fog does not affect AI vision whatsoever.

It has no effect on scene complexity and rendering, either.:erg:
Of course, many people enjoy the added atmosphere, the added realism (especially for a coastal city with four seasons), and in some instances, the added challenge of not being able to look as far ahead.

Didnt work using the ati tool, and the option didnt exist for rivatuner or nvhardpage..
Im gonna trawl though here - (
http://downloads.guru3d.com/) and see if any of the nvidia tools in there will allow me to tweak the fog settings..

What compatibility modes does Vista have? In XP you have 95, 98 and 2000 and sometimes one of them fixes various problems with certain games.
