You CAN get down, though it's a bit tricky as long as you still have the slowfall potion that you should have found in the closet and you left some windows open on the lower levels. It's a long drop so you need to try to hit at least one of the open windows on the way down to slow you a bit and use the slowfall potion on the way down. I just did it and only lost one health shield. You also need to have broadheads left so you can get back up as you need one to hit the top button again. If anyone is really stuck for loot, I have a list for this one.

Soo... camvators and other effects in this one so far charmed me most. I like the game, anyway I don't know how to progress:
I blown up the goldface teaching me about apples and canisters, but I don't know what to do next. I can play with gas chambers (no idea how to take advantage of them yet, just I know that I can blow up the content by mixing two gases) and I can visit audience room and little room with some loot and ceramic food. I have only canister in the inventory (excluding compass), I also can pick up (not into inventory) a bottle in audience room, second canister or some food, but none of them I used effectively so far (I tried to broke some glass in frustration without effect :p).
I need some hint, pease :erm:

To proceed, look on the wall behind the back row of chairs in the observation room. There are things you can do with the gas chamber also. Read the book in there for hints.

O.k, I already read the book, just didn't found any use of gases yet other than blowing things up :cheeky:
So, I run to investigate that wall in observation room (that's it, that's a good name for this place). Thank you :)
EDIT: Thanks to your help, Tannar, I finished it (damn little switches, always in the gap I didn't look into ;)) Nice one, like I said earlier - especially technical effects. Part with Garrett being enslaved reminded me some part of Fallout3 where PC is entrapped in virtual reality. The same feel of being awake in ridiculous nightmare and visuals (specific colors) strongly improving perception of being in new and extraordinary situation.

Excellent use of voice clips in this mission! Great concept as well when Garrett becomes a servant! Took me a while to find out how to get out of there though.
Just a side comment, but I personally think this mission had the most concerning the vertical aspect.

EEk...The gas chamber, I have read the book, melted the humanoid and recovered the necklace, I have disolved the bot, all nicely done and I know which gas does what...question is, how do I remove the spheres so that I can take the gas with me, or is this not possible.
Having fun though..I'd got to the aerial by my own steam and then discovered someone else had posted that they had got...(I am stuck in the mechakarras room. I opened the 2 boxes and have a gas canister but thats it. How do I open the other door or what do I do? Thanks for any help!)

Where are the bolts that you had to remove to open the boxes?

...I just assumed that those ball like spheres in the gas room are removeable.

Agree with you. Also, the insanity of Garrett's servant life is marvellous, if it was intentional by the author. (Doing the same two things all the time drives you mad!) Nice one.

That question was actually a hint from me. :thumb:
Go back to where the boxes were, light up a flare and have a look around for anything you might have missed.
