link worked for me also, and replayed it ,beat mission but alot of the map is not needed to complete mission i think its there to confuse you when trying to bring raputo back to object, this is how i beat mission, first i went to my house for key/gear,then meet guy for next key and maps, while doing those 2 things collecting loot and got necklace from girl and fire talisman from mages, once all that was done then knocked out raputo and brough him back to start, mission complete

Yep I just found out why I do get this error message. if my antivirus system avast is activated, I get the error message "network failure". If I deactivate it, it works just fine! :)

I just finished this mission and gotta say it´s very nice! :) I really like the architecture and the vipe of thief 1. The architecture and maps were so well done, even though its a large town I did not get lost once and it was also easy to backtrack the way with Raputo over the shoulder :D I also really liked the conversations that were added. I´m tired of hearing the same stuff over and over again in fanmissions, but here was one conversation included I´ve only heard once before (the conversation between the guard and the opera singer). Very nice!
A few cons I do have though, just some advise for your next mission so it becomes even better :D
-the town itself is very big so you have to run around alot and it gets super boring after some time. It took me almost two hours to finish this fanmission and there was no story at all. It started so well with the journal in which everything was so detailed explained. but throughout the fanmission nothing interesting happened, no interesting readings, nothing.. After like 1 hour I was so bored that I just wanted to get finished with it.
-add more loot in your fanmissions. And I mean, alot more loot. Garrett is a thief and he wants money. We do too. loot in corners, behind pictures, in chimneys, hidden loot, loot you only get if you rope arrow up somewhere, etc. etc.
-I had 5 rope arrows and didn´t need them even once, which is a pity. Such a large town mission becomes alot more interesting if some jumping and rope arrowing is included.
:)

Played the updated version and I noticed a lot of changes. Map is finally readable, which helps a lot. There is also a lot of panels that can turn off street lights. Less enemies. Also mission is more linear than before with passages to Eastside Quarter being locked. But that's OK for me. Some doors that were locked in original version, are now open. Enemies are also slightly less sensitive, though still they have really good hearing.
I found it a bit weird that Ancient Mask objective is only available on Normal difficulty. Also there were 2 or 3 doors in Opera Quarter that I never managed to find key for them. Also I gassed Raputo and KO-ed thief walking behind him and after finishing the mission, in my objectives screen I see that "limit knockouts optional objective failed. It's minor bug though. Huge improvement towards version 1.0 and I had more fun with it.

There is no key for the 2-3 doors you couldn´t open. You have to wait till someone comes through the door and opens it :)

The guy who open the doors has the key on his belt and you can steal it. This is only in the updated version.
But sometimes the waiting time for him to appear can be pretty long (a few minutes). In the rooms you can find 2-3 small value loot pieces so you don't need to wait for him, only if you want to find all the gold on map.

I finished this mission on normal and found 2936 loot. But as some people previously mentioned, also I were unable to access some doors in the beginning area. I ko'ed everyone. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to attach keys to their belts.:cheeky:
Technically I wasn't able to finish this mission because of a bug. The first time I met Cedric, he ran away, so I thought this was not the right person. Also at that time I did not notice the scroll and key on the ground next to him. Only much later when I came across him another time, I saw the items on the ground. But it was already too late... (and because of that the meet Cedric objective wouldn't tick off)
Because in the meantime, many things happened. I blew up the metal doors to Raputos mansion with explosives and forced myself in. :joke: (without knowing it was his mansion) I picked up a mansion key from a thief there, ko'ed Raputo and brought him to the torture chamber (objective ticked).
In general I had big problems with the map, I had no idea where I was. Sometimes I knew based on landmarks in which area I must have been, but it is very inaccurate. The city is a huge maze and I was without orientation most of the time. Something I usually don't struggle with. Some ways led to dead ends without anything in it.
Another odd thing was the objective to pick up my gear from home. After I entered an area suddenly it ticked off, without me actually being at Garretts appartement. Also I noticed there were rope arrows in this mission, but I was never able to make use of them. Maybe I missed something.
I was suprised that most of the civilians weren't hostile towards me, even if I broke into their homes and stole their stuff. :cheeky: Seeing me carrying a body also didn't freak them or the hammerite out. :D
Despite all these things, I enjoyed this mission! Also, this is your first fm and for that, it's very impressive!
I liked the long patrol routes of the guards, because sometimes I got surprised by them, when I thought I already cleared an area. I enjoyed the conversations.
Overall a very decent fm! Wouldn't mind if it had more details/objects though and some places where I can use the rope arrows.
This is one of the first fms I played in a long time and it was fun! :) Next I will play "Into The Dark Forest" - looking forward to it!
Edit: It turns out the problem with the inaccurate map has been addressed and solved already. I have an old 5.0 version. I see pictures in this thread of much better maps. Will download the new 6.0 version.
